Can I not find the oil filter? 2.2L I4, non sc.

 

It is a canister type filter on front side of engine.

 

I looked at my manual and still have my hood open. I do not see it, at all.

 

Look at the upper driver side of block and you will see a hex, nut shaped top of the filter housing. The filter is inside that housing.

 

It is not a regular looking filter. It has no metal can, but is just a paper-like element inside that thing that has the nut on top. It is changed from the top of the engine. You need to remove the plastic engine cover first.
