Skunk2 Billet Shift Knob

I love the look of the SKUNK2 BILLET SHIFT KNOB and I was wondering if I would be able to fit this knob on the stock shifter or on a TWM short throw shifter.

i believe it depends on how the knob is threaded...is it the whole shifter or just the knob?

If you are interested in installing the Skunk 2 shift knob on a TWM short shifter, the threads on our shifter are M12 x 1.25. You may have a tougher time installing it on the stock shifter shaft since it isn't threaded.

If you have the option to order the Skunk 2 knob with M12 x 1.25 threads it would thread right on to our short shifter. If it isn't available with M12 x 1.25 threads, virtually any machine shop could drill it out and tap it M12 x 1.25, since the most common size would be M10 x 1.5 (Honda threads).

For more info on our short shifters, you can check out this page: TWM Cobalt Short Shifter

I hope this helps,

Kevin

Now since this is in the 2.4L section and under shifters, my question isn't totally off-topic [just need one person to answer].

Is the stock shifter on the 2.4L Cobalt threaded or push on like the supercharged model? [I know that TWM said it isn't, but I just want to confirm this before tearing apart my buddies car...lol]

We do have a prototype in development for the Cobalt SS, which will fit the Ion Redline as well. I don't have an ETA for it's release at the moment, but rest assured we are working on it.

Thanks,

Kevin
