OK, I saw a new tahoe/trailblazer SS at the dealer the other day and I like the steering wheel. basicly ours (+- a few buttons) but with the center bowtie replaced with an SS cap. I want that cap! Do you think it will fit? Im going to call the parts depo and see what can be done. Ill post pics soon.

 

This has been talked about before, except with impala caps I think. I don't think anybody was succesful, but one did get their cap off, it wasn't pretty.

The SS caps , all of them , are bigger than our bowtie cap . To properly get the bowtie cap off , youd need to remove the airbag , then remove the urethane airbag cover . That aluminum bowtie cap piece is installed with long tabs that are bent over to secure it .

 

Well, thats about what the dealer said. damn
