ok before i piss anyone off but i just came from the bodyshop so i am in the worst mood ive ever been in... heres the problem...
i bought L3 fenders about a month back for my balt and they looked fine to me except a chip taken out of the top due to an air bubble in the gelcoat. I have never ordered body parts before so this looked fine to me. I took it to the bodyshop and we were outside in the sun looking at it and it looked fine the chip was an easy fix... well today he started to prep the fenders and when sanding the gelcoat he realized there were stress cracks everywhere that we couldnt see because the gel coat was so thick. It looks like there is only 1 or 2 layers of fiberglass on these things and the website claims 7... so he figures maybe a bad fender and then prepped alittle more in a diff spot and realized parts of the fender are solid gellcoat, no fiberglass whatsoever on the edges. When trying to get some bubbles out his sander went right through the fender b/c it was solid gelcoat. Now im stuck with $300 fenders that are complete crap and $50 for having him start the fenders. Im lucky hes my friend because the $50 includes taking off stock fenders putting new ones on to test fit, starting to prep new fenders putting stock fenders back on and a car wash.
so once again here is where i sit, im out about $350 and alot of time because i needed these on for a show on thursday and a meet on saturday... not only that but i look like a complete dumbass to this body shop for getting ripped off.
-I call cobalt addiction they never answer even though its during business hours
-I left donna a PM and then she signedoff right after that
so now im making a thred donna please help me with this im not mad at you, just whoever made these fenders
