Anyone know of anything to really prevent wheel theft?

Apparently around here standard GM wheel locks do not stop these guys from stealing your wheels. I have seen theses "tilt alarms" that go off when the vehicle is jacked up on one side, I'm not sure if these can intigrate well with the factory alarm, or would I need an aftermarket one. Anyone know of a better locking lugnut set than the GM ones that fit the Cobalt?

Please any help would be appreciated, I don't want to walk out to my car up on Blocks again.

I have gorilla locking lugs on my truck. They work really good, almost impossible to get off without key, and if you have the tool to get it off, it involves lots of loud pounding and hammering.

That sounds like a bit too much work just to lock rims...

Another trick is to get two different types of locking nuts. That way it would require two different keys to get them off. Put one of each type on each wheel.

My Plan was at least 3 different wheel locks on each wheel, I did look at the gorilla locks they seemed pretty good. Within 2 weeks at my apartment complex my wheels were jacked and an Impala SS's were taken, possibly more. The Impala had the GM wheel locks, I guess theres some tool to take off most locks. I couldn't tell if the gorilla locks were very shallow for the Cobalt or not.

you are playing with danger putting more than one lock per rim. You lose one of those keys and you are fucked...... or if a tire shop loses one whatever..

if someone really wants your rims they are gone. That is what insurance is for. If you are really worried about your rims getting stolen take a chain link place it through the slot on your rim and lock it to your axle.

also those aren't GM wheel locks at least mine werent. They are MCguard wheel locks which are Very good. Thing is no matter how many locks you have it really comes down to breaking or stripping the threads and then your wheels are gone. If you take an 18 oz hammer and a strong metal chisel, place the chisel in the small opening and start whaling on that BIATCH your nuts will pop. Not that I know anything about that.........
