OK I found ths link to a cobalt ss video and its a good video that shows us finally the car in some action, BUT no sound worked for me when I played it. I think the guys who owns this silve SS is a member of this site, if so could you please post that vid on this site with some sound.

I thought the video was just what I need to see of the car, to bad the damn sound didnt work for me, oh and it wont let me down load it to me computer, WTF? Some please talk to this guy, I need this video

 

yeah it sucks no sound. i love my red SS. it is worth the buy. what was that other car with it. it looked like they were racing but than it cant be cause the SS is pretty fast.

 

no sound kills it, but hey better than nothing

it looked to me like the video car was a mustang, probably a GT, cause a cobalt SS would smoke a v6 REALLY bad, or it should (16sec 1/4 compared to ~14.7= murder)

 

no im not saying there is nothing faster than the SS.

 

What a generalization over what he said . If it was a new Mustang GT those go 0-60 in like 5.1 seconds so it would have smoked the SS.

 

i meant a 99-04 gt, which is considerably slower, and even then, we cant hear anything, so we dont know if the other car was at WOT. And i can think of about 50 car makes faster than a cobalt SS right off the top of my head...

 

Guys it's my car, and thats my cardomain, i already posted this up somewhere the camera man was an SRT-4 and he's far from stock. We might of raced one time out of that video but other than that it was him basically showin me i dont wanna f* with his car lol...it's his video and he cant figure out why theres no sound, im gonna go out tonight and hopefully get some vids w/ sound well have to see..

 

afrter waching that video i think im getting a SRT-4 now.....

I test drove both over the weekend, and i believe i would pick the srt over the ss unfortunately... I prefer turbos than sc's, the srt feels like it pulls considerably harder than the SS, there is no torque steer in the srt, while the non-lsd ss i drove torque steered pretty badly at times (~30mph WOT) I may be getting an srt quite soon sorry guys...though i havnt been here long at all...

well yeah he is going to smoke u. he has alot of mods done to his Srt4. i like to see from stock to stock. no stage upgrades on the srt4 either.

 

yea when he would go WOT in the srt i wasnt even hitting it im still breaking my car in and all these kids are trying to race me lol. His srt would destroy me but i wasnt even going, and i agree with what someone else on here said...the more miles the faster it feels

Yeah, its too bad all these vids of the SS's aren't broken in yet. I'll wait till I see some of a car with at least 1-2k on it before I really judge. Obviously SRT-4's gonna be faster though, I don't doubt that.

 

Yea, an SRT-4 would be a smarter choice if you want ultimate speed for that sticker price.
Although the SS looks way better than a "neon". I wonder how fast a turbo 2.2 coupe would be....
