Question, is your SRI tapped to the hose? It sure does look that way. You don't get ant CELs?

well i welcome all the "constructive" comments. I hated the factory hubcaps, plus i have a thing for steelies and the sleeper look. My intake, well theres a whole thread about it and i got flamed for it preaty bad. In the end, i don't set any CEL's which is weird and it's black duct tape not electrial tape. It doesn't flop around it actualy stays preaty stationary. I currently have a home made LED engine light kit that im taking pics of, it looks kinda sweet.

dude screw all this home made crap and spend some change on somethin quality...why are you gonna install LED's in your engine bay when you've got a taped up intake, thats not show worthy.

and theres nothin sleeper about steelies, thats just an excuse for not being able to afford wheels which I can understand since they're not cheap.

just keep your mods clean, no cheap **** it ruins the overall quality of your car.

give him a break .. at least he is trying .. not all of us can be followers... nor do we have the money a lot of times to buy something expensive.

It's nice man, don't let others tell you otherwise. It's good to be unique.

DYI I take it equals "Do it yourself" Intake?

Dont fill his head with that BS, He plans for a "turbo" kit with supporting mods but cant afford an intake?? Not even a cheap eBay one? I'm all for budget mods but you gotta draw the line somewhere.

that flex hose will end up killing hp because all them ribs will disturb air flow.

lol i'll admit that was good. I just have the intake i have now because i couldn't afford one at the time. Since i havent has any problems with it, I never had the need to change it besides it not being the best looking. I was just going for functionality

You DO have a thing for steelies- hubcaps. Forget the sleeper look until you can go fast. Come on though, you gotta get those hubcaps back on until you get new rims.

Someone explained to me a while ago that this flex tubing as well as PVC tubing emits a chemical when heated. When this is sucked into the engine, its not good to say the least. Needless to say the air going through this setup will be hot given its positioning, this aint good.

Since I know of no one who tapes together an intake with flex tubing or pvc (theres a good reason for this) I dont know for sure.

Happy motoring.

If you do it, do it right or dont do it at all..
