Mine doesn't have a sleeve. YOu have a ss/sc? does it matter? But something that I hate about this car is the cup holder on the left is smaller then the right, and when something's in there, you can't touch your AC controls. I might try to remount them and switch them in the place off the black panel that has absolutely no purpose. WTF were they thinking?

The 2,4ss and G5 GT have the sleeve, both cup holders are the same size. In the SS/SC there is no sleeve but one is bigger than the other to different size drinks.

Not sure about the 2.2's, never owned one.

Yeah. Plus I drive with a PpAzz on here a lot and I noticed it in his too. I kinda like the sleeve cause if I spill something I just gotta clean that.

Mine had a sleeve... but I pulled it out and tossed it as most drinks I get are huge anyways... if I've got something smaller... it's easy to get to the back ones.

My 2.2 has that sleeve. It's a black rubberish-plastic sleeve that comes out to fit bigger cups/drinks/bottles. I dont drink anything while I'm driving so most of the time its holding my spare change.

Yep we have the sleeve too, I think it's standard on all cobalts (correction: standard on all but the SS/SC apparently). Allows for water bottles, etc. Pull them out and you can fit the big drinks in there.

Have you seen all the wires in there? I don't think that would be smart, condensation destroyed my Mustang's wiring harness.

Uhh, the sleeve is meant to be pulled out. What's under the sleeve is. (gasp) another drink holder with a larger diameter. hehe.
