Question; would a turbo around 26o make a better daily driver,or would there be that much of a difference? besides a stronger clutch

learn to control your right foot, and even 500 hp is daily drivable. Remember, turbos will only make boost if you've got the throttle open a certain amount. This is why a little lag is a good thing because it makes it easier to drive around town once you get to high hp levels. Even on my bug, which can see full boost at like 2500 rpm (ridiculously small turbo), its very easy to keep it out of boost.

This sounds great on the jbody.org forums I asked if they knew where we could get transmission parts for the 4t45e and one guy wrote that GM drivetrain division will be releasing performance internals for the tranny and that the 4t40e tranny shares the same torque converter so I will keep yall posted.

this is exactly why y need to wait for a turbo...i kno i am....i can see me eating up my uncles partialy mod. corvette right now(exhaust)...lol i dunno bout that....but this was the most interesting thing hahn had to say about our cars:

....We'll continue to flog our prototypes until this question is answered. Will we be successful? Time will tell, but I am very confident. The 2.4 Ecotec is simply the most robust engine I've ever encountered in a stock, normally aspirated vehicle, and I've had my nose inside a fair share of them! Frankly, it's reminiscent of an SRT-4 internally, but better...and we've been dependably coaxing 400-500 HP out of the SRT's for some time now.

We drive them to destruction, so you don't have to! Don't think I don't cringe slightly every dyno pass. But with every successful run, I cringe less...

Now that HP Tuners functions with the 2.4 I suspect we'll see a LOT more turbo kits for them
(as well as DIY "piece togethers")

I and djt81185 will probably be swinging most of the wrenches on this. We'll have a complete parts list with prices and sources so anyone can replicate!!!

Thats good news for you 2.4 owners! Now only if you had RWD to put down all that power!

with all the right suspension mods the power will get down well enough, especially with an auto that has no wheel hop
