OT: New Solstice draw

Hey all,

One of the dealerships in my area is holding a draw next Friday for one person to buy the new loaded black Solstice in the showroom.

$1000 (refundable if your name does not get drawn) gets you your entry. Factory price of 36,000 plus change (and taxes ) none of this adding 2k to the sticker price because it is rare. If you know someone who is interested let me know and I can give you the information of the salesman to call to get entered.

I am guessing regular solstice only if only because I had not heard the '07 models were even shipping yet, but I can find out. If it is, I promise not to tell anyone so I can get the car myself.

I was assuming it was an '06 2.4L too. It would be a bit early for an '07.

I think they are overrated. The only solstice worth getting is the GXP.

From what he posted, you don't win the car, you win the right to buy the car. You'd still have to pay full price for it, this just determines who gets the opportunity to purchase it.

Hard to believe those things are so rare!!!!! I can't imagine what it would be like when the GXPs come out......

If you are trying to get a GXP, if it even gets sold in Canada, you need to preorder now.

Entering a paid draw for the right to puchase a 2k over list car ? Wow no wonder Canadian's are seen by some as Pot smoking hippies

Good luck to anyone that has entered.

The point was that unlike trying to buy in the big cities, this one is for the sticker price.

Are they really that rare? The Saturn dealership around me has had around 15-20. They are only on the lot for about 5 days, but they still have them. The pontiac dealership is the same way...

This is Canada, everything is rare... except beautiful women, good beer, and igloos.

If you seriously see a Sky Redline for sale let me know. The dealerships I talked to up here have a 2 year waiting list.
