So finally I have graduated and have joined the work force full time freeing up a substansial amount of disposable income. My college beater car is a 06 LS and I have decided that instead of goin all out and getting a toy like a Mallet v8 Solstice/Sky or Vette. I want the craziest Cobalt I can build. What you guys think of my plan in 3 stages.

Stage I: basics
Zex wet kit, and the obvious safety goodies like wot swith and msd jobbie, Momo interior, pacesetter exhaust header back. (saving for a down payment Condo not yet time for corsa)
alternatives screw the Condo :bye: to the girlfriend get the Corsa:cssNET: kidding mom would kill me!!

Stage 2: accesories
CF RK Sport hood with the functional ram air, Custom Autometer Nexus guages (look these up if you havent seen em there cool as hell) which includes Indash speedo tach fuel level, and wide band o2, custom carbon fiber trim ring with nitrous pressure now in dash and fuel pressure, and the controller for the guages. The arm switch and trunk pop button can go in the little flip down door by the drivers door.

Stage 3: hardcore
New engine, Ecotec Stage 1 Engine Assembly from Saturn motorsports, Clutch flywheel, direct port conversion, Coil overs, STB, and driveshafts.

How sick would that be on a stock looking balt? Goal is streetable 12's

well it wouldn't exactly look stock with all that on there.

if you do decide to build up

In a nutshell I would get something like a Patriot Performance head with some aggressive cams, basic I/H/E bolt ons, new rods and pistons with stock bore and slightly bumped compression, and then run a DP 125HP shot.

It wouldnt look stock, you are correct, but I mean clean not overdone. If that makes any sence. Maybe i mean stock style as in no neons and spinners. But kinda well put together.

I would turbocharge a forged ecotec so some serious power. Nitrous, while fun and all, isnt there all the time. I would love to have that power anytime i want, so im going to turbo myself next. My goal is 350hp, which is easy 12's. To get a 12sec on nitrous, youll probably need a larger shot which may require some tuning.

Turbocharging is also fun and makes a great noise, but, I also see benifits in the nitrous system. Like pulling up and no one knowing that you have that 300hp on tap. And with some progressive systems, you can gain similar attributes to a boost controller I.E different levels of boost(for lask of a better word) in each gear, and for our Detroit winters no HP increase whatsoever. Also I think that having a cool DP nitrous system will be more unique in the near future when the turbos run rampid.
