AEROFORCE Interceptor Tuning Discussion "What readings have you been getting"

I just got the gauge today (Install was a breeze).
Let's all discuss the readings we have been getting with this awesome gauge.

Example: AIT1 and AIT2, Knock, MAF reading, Timing advance, horsepower, etc...

First drive today to work monitoring:

Knock and boost.

MAX boost I got on 2th gear at 6300rpm - 13.2 PSI
MAX boost I got on 3th gear at 6300rpm - 14.5 PSI
Knock:Any gear any RPM 0.0

Before my 3" Pulley I was boosting 11.5 PSI so its dead on 3 more PSI.

I want this gauge so bad. I just want to make sure the bugs are worked out. I heard something about electrical spikes were giving the gauge it's problems. Any new word on that? I like the fact that this gauge eliminates the purpose of multiple gauges.

Denny, there is a thread going on about adding a second heat exchanger,,, check it out Patath and Enuffpower have been posting IAT readings. Not an exact comparision to what you're doing. But it will show you what the 2.5 pulley and an upgraded HE is experiencing.

Once I get my gauge and I'll post mine up, and then again when I get staged in the next month or so.

^^Hells yeah, I can't wait to get in my gauge and the free mounts :-)

I ordered last weekend.

Thanks SS33. That is great info on IAT readings. I will be doing mine tonight (IAT and IAT2 ) for the drive home from work. I will be reporting my readings tonight.

^Awesome, my gauge should be shipping out today, so I will have some numbers to compare with you soon as well

I want to start logging what diff people are seeing with diff mods and conditions etc. and maybe put together a tuning database for the cobalts.

That might not be extremely helpful, but I want to start collecting PCM tunes from people with HPtuners as well and start comparing and contrasting to see if we can optimize some tunes, but I need to pick up the software first, lol.

Tonight's readings Going home I did - IAT and IAT2:
These are all F Degree.

I started the car reading was: IAT 80 and IAT2: 86

Rolling on the Highway: IAT 90-95 and IAT2: anywhere from 120-130

Deadstop: IAT 95 and and IAT2 140-145

IAT doesnt change much at all... but the IAT2 goes down very quickly when rolling...

<edit> and it doesn't have anything to do with adding a resevoir, larger exchanger, or water injection lol

This morning's readings going to work I did - Timing advance, boost, horsepower and knock

Rolling in second to redline and 3th to redline : timing advance 38 at 2-3 PSI and Timing advance of 8 at 12-14PSI

Again no knock...am using 94 Sunoco gaz.

Horsepower I hit 206 HP at around 6000rpm 3th gear my above sea level altitude here (Ottawa) is approx 260 feet.

How do you like the gauge so far? Are the shift lights and refresh rate all working properly?

I'm just hoping they got all of the bugs out for this release.

Also, what was the ambient temp on the first set you posted? I'm trying to keep as accurate of numbers as I can here, lol.

The gauge is working 100%. Shift light, refresh rate. Ambient temp was about 32-36 Degree celcius on that day.

Awesome, I can't wait to get mine in now.

From the few numbers I've recorded so far, this shows how effective adding a second HE can be.

With similar ambient temps (~95 F) EnuffPower was seeing the same or lower IAT2 temps than you with the 2.5" pulley. I don't know what he was seeing for KR or timing advance though.

I notice I get anywhere from 0.3 to 1.7 Knock Retard when shifting. I figure it's just the knock sensor picking up vibration and misinterpreting it as knock. Other than a K&N CAI the car is stock so I'm pretty sure I'm not actually getting knock.

Anyone else notice this?
