My buddy wants me to come with him to the Rantoul track in September....My question is would it be a waste of time since I only have the 2.2 5-speed with no mods....I want to get a CAI and new exhaust but dont know if I will be able to afford it by race day..

Going to a drag strip is a total blast - whatever you drive.

At least you'll get some experience and learn the ropes if you don't already know them.

It'll get in your blood......

Yeah I definatly do not have any EXP when it comes to this that is why I did not know if a stock car would even be worth it until I get some upgrades...I will let you know how it goes thanks..

If you want some track time ,check out the 1/8 mile track in Havana - I could run down there with you some Saturday for a few passes - I don't think it is too expensive and the 1/8 is a little less demanding.

Watch that other thread and try to hook up Sunday.
