From experience I know the SS owns the RSX's soul.

road and track had the ss/sc beating out by a slim margin, like .2 of a sec. in the 0-60 and like .5 sec in 1/4. or maybe its the other way around....either way it'd b a good run.

from my experiences from a higher roll the rsx has a better chance at maybe beating the ss, but from a dig it better be one lucky little race for the rsx to win

The one magazine compared them and did the 1/4 with both and SS was 14.8 and type-s was 15.0. So could be a drivers race but usually ss

i have raced an rsx-s a-spec, both my car and thiers bone stock and i beat them off a light up to about 100mph by 3 or 4 lengths and from a slow 20mph roll by about the same up to 80 mph. I believe that the cobalt ss/sc runs best from a roll because anything past 3000rpm runs 12.5psi and hauls ass. I raced a mazda rx-8 on the highway last week from 75mph to 140mph and beat him by about 6 cars.

75-140. cuz thats entirely safe on a highway when it only takes 120 to prove your point :P

I don't think you should have any problem beating an RSX if thats your intention. Even if you do lose, at least you have the satisfaction of knowing your car will yield more power with bolt on's than his ever will. If you do beat him (I think you should be able to), be sure to remind him that your lug nuts require more torque than his motor even creates.

my best friend has one a 06 rsx type s stock he couldnt drive it and i killed him by 7 cars atleast, well i got in the drivers seat vs my brothers best friend G6 GTP stock (15 flat 1/4 mile) and we ran neck and neck so if me and my brother can pull 3 or 4 cars on the GTP before 100 i guess to assume the SS s.c will take a rsx from a roll. from a dig i dunno that is a drivers race because some people can run 14.7's in a RSX type s and some run 15's then some peeps run 14.3's in there SS's and some run 15's from a roll thoe s/c has advantage you already a car or more ahead before vtec is even engaged lol

one thing i like about RSX's is they feel so fast Vtec is a happy feeling and you can chirp 2nd and 3rd easy!

If you can drive at all you should win. Forget magazine times and look at real world times. The SS/SC is a mid 14 second car and the RSX is a 15.0 second car. That's not even a close race in the quartermile. If the drivers are equal the SS/SC will win everytime.

All I know is my friend has an RSX-S and he won't race me. He says he'd have to run his car past the redline in every gear just to stay close to me.

As far as real world times the BEST EVER I've seen a stock RSX Type-S run is 14.68. A good SS driver should come out on top 9 out of 10 times. VTEC is a happy feeling though. It's like you died and went to heaven at about 7000rpm.

You know Kevin, he'd happily hook you up with the SS/SC vs Si part of it.

i like it, first i wanted to get an srt-4 but didnt work out, den went for cobalt ss/sc same results and last i went to go look at 06 wrx but the insurance was pricey so i had to decide to get, rsx type s or Si and i choosed Si which i had to wait for 5 months!!! its a decent little sporty luxury car, it seems like a space shuttle due to all the digital gauges/navigation and stuff haha but overall, the Si has very smooth/short shifting and cornering is excellent due to LSD, just want that car to be a lil bit faster as Kevinrino (SilverSS) someday haha u can even ask him cause he likes driving my car, hopefully i can go to the track someday if i had time to see what the car can do.
