Anyone NOT get Pirelli tires?

My LS Coupe w/ Sports Pkg. was supposed to get Pirelli P6 Four Seasons tires standard but I got Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus tires instead. Reading the reviews at Tirerack, both tires have similar reviews (around the 7/10 range) but I'm curious if anyone else got tires that weren't the default OEM (15" Continentals or 16"/18" Pirellis).

I'm swapping the OEM tires for Goodyear TripleTreds as soon as I can anyway.

I've got Michellin Pilots on my Mazda 6 and I don't like them one bit. Work like crap in the rain, and in dry conditions they don't stick. I'm trying to burn them off and I think I'm getting G force tires to replace them.

Yup, this is correct. The first few LS's had pirelli. Then they switched. Mine came with Michelin. Just to add to the humor, I got a warrantee card with my car's paper work for Goodyears. That made me laugh.

Look at the windows sticker that came with your car. Mine says Z rated tires. I emailed chevrolet about it and I got NO response.

I just sent them another email.

I got the 15" Continentals on my LT. At some point (hopefully next spring) I'm hoping to get the OEM 16's and I'll probably put BFG's on them. The Traction T/A gets excellent reviews, both my trucks had BFG's and I had good luck with them.

Why are you complaining that you got BETTER tires, just cuz w is lower in the alphabet than z doesn't mean that z is better. read again

z=149
w=168

W>Z

I call BS on this one. Not ALL all-season are garbage. Avon Tech M550 A/S which is what I bought for my new rims on my SS/SC handle better in all conditions than the darn PZero's. The ride quality is better and more smooth and the handling is definately better. Don't always judge a tire by the season rating.

Sorry...wrong... Z rated tires are rated for 149MPH and up +. W rated tired are rated UP TO 168MPH... kinda confusing I know... but thats the way it is... ask someone at a tire shop if you don't beleave me... so .... Z>W... if you plan on going 168+
