actually, that's better than I expected you would run. it's a stock build with bolt-ons and no tuning, I'm suprised you hit lower than a 15.3 to be honest.

Thats freaking awsome. I just have a dc sport strut bar and i run 16.3. Could you run down the costs of all your parts. Those times are just amazing. My friend has a redline that runs 15.2 but would prolly run a 14.8 so 15 flat with no supercharger is just amazing. Im going to compile current prices and repost them. I'll prolly look at turbotechracing.com first but then search for better prices if there is such a thing lol. Also what springs do you have? Sportline or Pro

Looked up the parts and its about 2G in mods. Not bad, especially seeing how close you are to the ss without any forced induction. Just wait for the turbo kits then you'll be truely on fire

That's impressive. So technically, if i get an intake, headers, exhaust, torquebrace, 14's aren't that far away. I just got back from the track and ran a 15.9 in my stock one, no mods at all, just wheel spin.

I have an auto. I got it cuz i do alot of city driving but regretting it a little. Also the 16.3 was my first time at the track ever with any car so with some practice i should be able to get it down to high 15's cuz my reaction time downright sucked

reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/4 times.

Doubtful you would drop any with practice---whats there to practice with an auto? Just floor it and go

yes but its way easier--and times should not vary much at all---since the auto is very consistent. And the 2.2 is no torque monster

nice times man, about where the 2.2 eco should be, i mean they should run mid 15's stock with a good driver and 14.90's-low 15's with the mods you have done, im starting to think its alot to do with suspension mods because couple cavaliers i know are running 14.90's with the same **** you have done, damn i need to get this stock suspension off here.

oh my bad, I read it wrong and thought he was assuming he should be doing better

sunfire - I think you're right man. if the stock suspension on these is as awful as on the Ions, which I think it is, that'll have a lot to do with it. there's a picture of me launching at the track with the stock springs back when I ran low/mid 15's and the car looks like it's RWD from the weight transfer, it's insane.

if anyone has seen me at the track, look at my rear end as i launch, it dips down a good 2-3 inches, next im getting suspension, coilovers and adjustable struts so i can stiffin the back and slam the front, should increase my times some but til then im squeezing time outta the car with stock suspension and stock tune.

look into spring rubbers too, the Nascar fans here will know what I mean. I was planning a while back to load the rear springs up with them (not completely obviously) but never got around to it. might be something to consider.

that or maybe get a single air shock back there and fab mounting points up, then pump it up a lot, would minimize transfer as well and woudln't require removal most likely.

this is from back then: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...1/IMG_9170.jpg

I'm still debating on picking up some rubbers for the Eibachs I run now, couldn't hurt with the small amount I get now in comparison.

that's damn impressive. the biggest issue any fwd car has is the launch. simply put, they don't do well.

I would guess that you're running a good combo of parts that is allowing you to run well. I know some 2.4s that would kill to be running that well.

it is also possible that for some reason his torque converter is doing something odd and allowing him to leave a few hundred RPM higher... from what I understand a few revs low on a 2.2 is huge.
