I would like to take a moment to welcome Hahn RaceCraft as a Supporting Vendor on CobaltSS.net. Hahn RaceCraft is in the process of developing and testing some amazing performance parts for the Cobalt.

I’m sure you are familiar with some of them from the recent threads in the forums, and I want to let Hahn RaceCraft fill us all in.

Welcome Hahn RaceCraft! It is good to have you here :cssNET:

It feels great to be here, extending our Ecotec heritage into such an excellent vehicle as the Cobalt. As many of you know, we've pursued Ecotec performance for years, and we see the Cobalt as a wonderful improvement on a car we'd already grown pretty fond of, the J-body (aka Cavalier/Sunfire).

You'll see us introduce some interesting options in the weeks and months to come. I'd like to invite anyone to contact myself or my staff with questions. Post a thread, PM, email, call us, whatever you like...we are here and friendly!

Also, have a look at our website, www.hahnracecraft.com. Take a look at our Ecotec and Cobalt pages, and enjoy! We'll be continously adding more Cobalt info, so stop back often.

Thanks,
Bill Hahn Jr.

Hi Bill,

I was curious what the time frame will be from the release of the cobalt kits until you release the kits for the RL?

By RL, do you mean Ion RedLine? If yes, we don't have a definite timeframe just yet. We need to get the Cobalt system completely validated first, then we'll move on to examining the RedLine application.

Yes, I meant the ION RedLine...just wanted to make sure.

Also, do you know what the price is yet for the Stage 3 on the SKY/Solstice?

No, we will release information to the website on Sol/Sky Stage III when development is complete. Should be soon!

How about an answer to the question of "twincharging viability"?

For clarity's sake, did someone ask such a question and I skipped past it, or are you asking for my views on the viability of twincharging?

I asked about your professional opinion about twincharging in the 2.4 turbo thread that you have been part of. This is the thread I was refering to in the 2.4 thread.http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/showthread.php?t=27401

Welcome to the site. I have a question to the twin charged system, why does the turbo feed the s/c and not the s/c feeding the turbo for faster spool on the t/c? I'm a noob.

Thats not a bad question! The turbo feeding the S/C is really effective, and to do it the other way would be much more complex and expensive.

Also, don't forget...to do that with these s/c you would have to flip the s/c itself upside down...fabricate a way for that air to flow into a turbo and that back to the intake manifold. That means $$$$$$$$

Pretty much...look at your car...tell me where you can put a turbo after the s/c, pretty much impossible.

We'll have more info on both very soon. Until development is complete, it's hard to be accurate on either point. I can tell you that the turbosystem is proving to be similar to our other applications in terms of overall component content, so pricing should also be similar.

We will keep you folks apprised! Right now, the system is in final stages of development, and we expect to be ready later this summer.
