pretty funny, seems like the RX-8 owners can't determine what their car puts out for power or what transmissions they come with. stock for stock a Cobalt will beat up on those any day but probably not in auto-x.

 

the rx8 guys are morons. everyone is going to have biased opinions on thier cars, they just cant justify thier 30k car losing to an "econo shitbox"

 

I know the cobalt is quicker but it does look like the Rx-8 let off for the van ahead. The Rx-8 guys are just pissed off cuz a $20G car is faster than their car that can exceed $30G.

there are people like that in every crowd. like the 2.2 cobalt driver here that was telling me that he was going to run twin turbos at 40 psi on the stock motor

 

first off, traffic kinda ruined it....

second, the RX8 needs to wait for the 3rd beep. not floor it on the second.


third he was getting pulled in HARD.

actually you can buy a rx-8 for under 30x my dad has a grand touring 05, was the showroom car, and he paid 25,000 cash fully loaded

 

bs unless it was the base model with automatic or had the worst driver in history

 

people that own more expensive cars that ours will always resort to things like: my car is track built. or your econobox this and that. or you still own a 21,000 piece of **** cavalier. it's getting really old...

 

I don't know why people are so suprised they are so slow...if anyone knew anything about Rotaries, they'd know why the RX-8 is so slow. The motors are slower revving and don't start making good amounts of power till they are high in their rpm band...why do you think the RX-7s came twin turbo'd?

Point blank, Mazda messed up the whole concept of the RX series...

1. Lightweight
2. Turbocharged
