Traction Talk

I have been long debating on what I want to do to my car. After reading deep into all the post on performance and traction I have a question for those who know. Being that my car is currently stock I have traction problems. So, it would almost be pointless to do horse power upgrades and torq upgrades if I can't get it to the ground. I raced the same freind from work who drives a 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T. His best run was a in the 1/4th was 13.8. First time I raced him I lost big time. Second time lost by about 4 car lengths. With alot of practice I have reduced his wins to about 3 car lengths. He pulls away because I have alot of spining. I really would like to grab through 1st and second gears. Is it overboard doing ALL of these mods...?

Weapon R Engine Damper

ZZP Poly Engine Mounts

ZZP Billit Tranny Mounts or ZZP LSJ Poly Tranny Mounts

I have the ZZP Billet engine mount and poly trans mount and have little to none wheel hop. Spinning is still there slightly, but that was also significantly decreased. Lets just say that unless your launching over 2k, you wont have a problem with spinning either. Just my personal observations though.

Thanks for the quick respond. It also says about potenial rough ride with the ZZP Billet Engine Mounts. Does the Weapon R Engine Damper help on both ends? (less stress on engine mounts, and better traction) Maybe the Weapon R would be enough for both problems. I'm also guessing these mods are best for your 60ft. Would it be pointless to do ALL THREE mods?

1. Weapon R Engine Damper

2. ZZP Poly Engine Mounts

3. ZZP Poly LSJ Trans Mounts ( does not say about increase in cabin vibration)

If you are getting the trans and engine mount the damper is pointless. With the trans mount there will be vibes. But these 2 should eliminate your wheep hop.

Its not that you get a rough ride with the mounts, but you get vibrations. They are annoying at first, but they break in in about 4 weeks and decrease a good amount. However, they still remain, but slightly. Doesn't bother me especially since I have no more wheel hop .

I have both the zzp engine mount and ingalls dampner.

My wheel hop is literally gone (except for this colder weather produces some wheel hop)
