so Gm is it just for good sound?? or will the corsa 2.5 inch piping give you more hp than basically any exhaust?? because of its straight through mandrel bent tubing and bigger piping??

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed! And 2fastSS, the stock piping is mandrel bent 2.5" piping, up until about 1 1/2 feet back from the muffler, then it goes to 2.25"

Why do i keep hearing from peope that GM is 2.25" and Corsa is 2.5", others are saying GM is 2.5" and Corsa is 3". WTF. Can someone say something that is the end all of this discussion.

it's been this way for years on car forums, that's why i don't understand why the forums still waste time locking the threads, just let them run their course, and run their course again, and again and again. the same questions will be asked 10 years from now on a daily basis. get used to it :twothumbs

The GMPP exhaust gets rid of a few bends that the stock exhasut has and goes to a full 2.5''from the cat back if I am not mistaken. You'll probably not loose any bottom end from the exhaust upgrade. 2.5" is plenty till about 300WHP From ther on up you should consider 3" or bigger. Though with a exhasut that big ground clearance will become an issue if you have bad roads aroudn where you live. Or you like to eat at burger king a lot. :lol:

True.. but then u want to buy a header and downpipe and now you have a header that has a 3" collector to a 2.5" downpipe and then to a 2.25" cat-back exhaust.... hmmmm.... that defeats the purpose of being able to open up the exhaust. and once u see the Corsa cat-back exhaust in person you'll know why u spent $630 :cool: just my opinion though

im going 3" collector and 3" DP tapering to 2.5" outlet so i can keep my low end torque. Plus i love the sound of the corsa.

Honestly I dont think youll see any difference at all in performance between the 2 sizes, and the GM is a hell of alot cheaper

I'm getting the clear image auto header, then running a 3 inch exhaust from the header to the exhaust tip with no cat, resonator, or muffler. Loud as fuck, but about as free flowing as you can get. This won't be for a while though.

I just installed a new Dynomax Ultra Flo SS muffler part# 17287. It is 2-1/4" in and out and it is a "straight-thru" design and replaces the only restriction in the whole stock catback which is the muffler. It sounds awesome and picks up comprable power to any catback without giving up and low-end torque. As has been noted, if you don't replace your restrictive downpipe then you can only flow so much through the catback. I'm staying with the stock exhaust except for the muffler so I spend about $200 installed on this and I'm very pleased with the results.

Also, I recommend a good CAI - I just installed the K&N Typhoon and I love it! Real nice gains across the board, especially in the top end :cssNET:
