Pot Holes, Uncompleted Road work- Come Bitch here!

Since our Suspenion is so tight we pretty much feel any bump hit at above sppeds of 20 mph and it is almost as if it was a 2 ft. ditch. AnyWay Mayor FuckupOur Streets has decided to rip up all main streets in philadelphia to make it look like our tax dollars are hard at work! But when he rips up the asphault it dont get laid down again for another 2 months therefore the SS is going through hell. Anyway im done rambling..........has anyone got any major damage due to the above conditions>?

we have the same conditions over here in west pa. I live north of pittsburgh, all the roads are back roads. Its a game dodging potholes but no, I havent done any damage to the cobalt yet, besides a few small, unseen scratches to the underside of the front bumper. I have been easy on her though, I know where most of the "rubbing places" are by now so I can avoid them.

Here in DFW we get a lot of stuff too.. my most hated is when they put down the steel plats to cover large gaps in the road. I always hit them at least once at speed then wonder if my tires will hold on those metal edges. They freaking suck!

Here in CT the winters just destroy the roads or should I say the plows do.
The roads here suck and with Sportlines you feel everything!
That's my little rant. I wanted to join the club!

Nothing compares to the "potholes" in Staten Island, they literally are 2ft. deep ditches or bigger

im from your area i feel ya, the ride is really harsh in my SS/SC starting to think there is problem, dont think it was like that on day one, bumps now are loud clunks inside and i think the struts will fly threw hood one day, it sounds bad and feels bad inside my car... anybody else with me on this...

Yeah on the first day you have the car you will avoid a stone in the middle of the road the size of a half dollar cuz its a new car but months/ years you get a little more leaniant and go into a couple holes here and there. Corners and flying on the highway its still really tight but when i hit little bumps i feel as if my fillings are going to fall out!

The county I live in decided out of nowhere to tear up the road my house is on and make it wider. For the last month, i have been driving on gravel roads until I can hop on the freeway. I hate it because....1. Its bumpy and loud and everyonce in a while you will find a spot that they didnt put gravel in, and scare the crap out of you...2. Its pointless to wash my black car because as soon as I leave my driveway it gets dirty again. ...3. Every morning I wake up to the sound of machinery. (I live in the boonies, so I am not use to waking up to loud noise)

Thats my story. Now I can be part of the club too

I know what you mean...I work in Philly so I see and feel it all as well. The best tho, is when they spray yellow paint around a giant pothole. Now they can send someone out to spray the paint, but they cant send someone to patch it up? Go figure.

What about when the road paint from the lines on the ground gets all over your car and in the wheelwells. That **** never comes off!

they pretty much decided to tear up "main street" where I live...its not a necessary road to travel, which is good, but it is inconvient to go around this area all the time.

We have shitty roads in michigan, two seasons, June/July & Winter. Every major highway is under construction here. I-75 has been under construction for about 10 years now. Seriously.

Every where I go they are starting new projects and not finishing the old ones. OMFG finish one and move on. Start one at a time. It's not rocket science!!

I live so far out in the boonies that we don't even have a sewage system. And then someone decided it would be a good idea for us to get one. So now they're digging EVERYWHERE in the area. (I won't call the "area" a town, because there are only about 350 people in the whole zip code.) Yup - BOONIES.

my town they dont "pave" the roads. what they just did to my street was take little rocks and oil and lay that down over the old road and thats it. so now there little rocks flying everywheres till there stuck to the oil and dust all over the place.

tar and dhip method...i run into that all the time around here. that tar is a killer to the exterior of any car. only encountered it once with the new balt but i got through it just fine with no tar splatters on the body. took my time though, did about 10mph through all of it and still had the rocks hitting the bottom of the car
