The car came in today after ordering it in mid June. Cant wait to break it in!

Was the spoiler that came with your 2007 now considered the base spoiler? Is the giant wing an extra $240 or so?

Looks like you can't get it without SOME spoiler, unfortunately....

 

Also...the bright new silver calipers look good. I may paint mine silver now, instead of blue or red...if I get an SS/SC this month....

Black also looks good. Pain to treat right, but looks amazing when it is clean.

 

No, the standard spoiler on the 07's is still the normal "wing" you are all used to, but they have added an option to get a smaller spoiler at no charge, so I went with it. Kinda wanted mine to be different, and wasn't a fan of the somewhat "ricer" spoiler. Yeah, it's kinda wierd that you still have to get some type of spoiler, if your going to offer a smaller one, why not offer none at all?! I don't actually pic it up 'till tomorrow so I'll get some better pics and remove the stupid "Capitol"--Dealers should not be allowed to do that ****, it pisses me off that I have to spen time taking off their crap. I can't imagine those studip little stickers/badges attract any business for them anyway?!

 

I met peaple with ss/sc around here,they still never visited the site but these two paticlar peaple had the 2.0 version one an 05 and 06 with the ss/na wing

 

I just noticed that the rims on the '07s are a little diff. than the 05/06s. Mine has an extra inner lip. I like the older one's better, more clean looking. Whatever, I guess thats what I get for getting a new radio/steering wheel. Just curious why they changed it if anyone knows.

 

Oh, I thought it was a new option for '07. Maybe not though. It's also possible they traded their stock wing for the decklid spoiler?

 

Nice car! I wish I could have ordered mine with the low-profile wing. Looks 500 Xs better than the big wing. I don't get why they changed the wheels either. It doesn't look bad with the lip, just different. I hope there wasn't some sort of strength issue at hadn, and the wheels need the extra lip for durability.

now this is going to just ADD to the confusion of other people deciphering between ss and ss/sc! nice color choice. nice choice on not paying 400 for chrome wheels too. I LOVE my big wing, hmm. To each their own, i dont like that spoiler one bit though.

 

congrats man i really like the 07, not much change which is good. Still the same powertrain im assuming. I like the steering wheel/radio changes along with the rims, slightly different but its for the best IMO. Also, if you wanted a smaller spoiler, you could just get the downforce one thats on cobaltaddiction, looks good and its small, something i think you might wanna look into, but again congrats and be easy with her for a bit, shes a young lady.

....btw , for some reason I like 07 Wheels better . The spokes are thicker , the center is recessed more . Yea , liking the chunkier lookin 07 wheels better .

 

I compeletly agree.... I wasn't a fan of my spoiler at first... but I LOVE it now.. it's gonna suck to find out who is supercharged who isn't... there are so few supercharged ones here that its exciting when you find someone wtih one.. with the ss/na wing.. it'll be a little more challanging!! Guess the ss/na wing is good for stealth mode! lol!
