BilletFlow is sponsoring the event and we are a premier manufacturer of aftermarket parts for the 03-04 SVT Cobra as well as the CobaltSS.

We would love to see some fast Cobalts come out and show their stuff!

Remember, this is supposed to be a Ford Only event.... so we will pick out a couple of the fastest Cobalts to run against a couple CPIE Cobras.

I will have parts available at the track and I'm sure that I'll probably be giving some stuff away as prizes too

The Midwest SVT Challenge is an awesome event!

We rent out US 41 (in Morocco, IN) for the day and it is for Fords ONLY. The past 4 MSC's had about 70 cars. Most people were able to make at least 12 to 15 passes (maybe even more) with almost ZERO waiting!! There will be races for cash prizes… more information is to come. Our sponsors usually GIVE AWAY goodies and supply the prizes for a GREAT raffle. This is an awesome event for those who are new to the drag racing scene. You can get in tons of practice and get advice from other experienced racers. This is the event to be at!!

heres my thoughts on this.



guys lets be real here...not even the fastist of us can hang with a blown cobra....i'm around Dougs shop quite a bit and i cann attest that every cobra that hangs out with him is not gonna be stock HE MAKES THERE GO FAST PARTS just like he does for us...only they have more power=THE END.

i cant beleve that somethin like this happend....sounds like it started from an argument about weather or not our cars can run low 14's around the 100mph mark.

wich we all know that with a good driver is totaly possible...but still were not in the leage of a blown cobra.

as far as a few of the guys on the SVT site that drive normal GT's we all know they are full of **** if they think stock for stock they can win.

but at a drag race like this nobdoy stock is gonna show so i think its a waste of time.


HOWEVER IT WOULD BE REAL COOL IF SOME GUYS DID GO...maybe we can suprise a few of these guys but as far as backing up the **** talking...a blown cobra is gonna do that better then a blown cobalt.

If I was around I would go for fun. But the original thread got locked for a reason. These things bring out the stupidity in everyone.

 

Are you serious Ive seen a stock auto GT mustang with no burnout run consitent 14.0x I havent seen a stock cobalt run that. Theres many stock 99-04 GT's that run high 13's

 

I raced a SVT Cobra, it was just for fun. I talked to the guy while we were staging and he asked some questions about my car and I didn't really need to ask any about his. We got to the line and that was the last I saw of him. You're right, people do talk alot of **** about Mustangs. Cobalt owners, Neon owners, STI owners, Camaro owners, pretty much anyone not driving a Mustang. I didn't get one because I couldn't afford the insurance and gas. They're great cars whether anyone wants to admit it or not, just out of my range. And yes, I agree 100%, run what you brung. Some people have a hard time with that. Not sure why.
