2.2L Turbo?

Ok, I was lookin around on a myspace cobalt group and a guy said that he is buying a stg 3 turbo kit from maximum boost for $3,000.

http://forum.myspace.com/index.cfm?f...D69DF714670734

Well, I went to maximum boost to check it out, and to me, it doesnt seem worth the $3,000.00. 4-5 psi = 40-50hp.

http://www.maximumboost.net/index.ph...=21_44_148_272

What do you guys think?

I dont think those have even been fitted to a Cobalt yet. Hope he's ready to be disappointed when he cant tune it.

yea, its just that i would hate to see a fellow cobalt owner be out $3,000.00 on a turbo kit that you cant tune, that is probably for a cavalier.

Maximum Boost Kits Don't Fit Anything. Everything In The Kit Is Unuversal Ebay Parts. Universal=fits Nothing! All Frank Does Is Buy The Stuff, Mark It Up A Ton, And Resell It To You In A Package. Don't Trust Him. There Is A Reason He Is Banned From Jbo And Css.

This really is old news. Here is my suggestion. Tell you friend to sign up at CobaltSS.net! You can even get a referral for it! (I'm such the salesman moderator) He can then read for himself all of the bad press that Maximum Boost has and save that three grand.

the turbo itself is ready... it's not being sold because there is no tuning... they will not sell it untill it can be properly installed...

BINGO! Real companies, like Hahn Racecraft, wait until they can provide a working system. Fakes, like Maximum Boost, just list universal parts for numerous cars and steal people's money.

Comon guys, it isn't fake. My turbo 2.2 runs at 11psi with over 120hp gain. I'm almost pushing 250 horses to the wheels.

No, im not joking. I spent, specifically, 119.79 hours of custom dyno tuning, hence the 120hp gain. To change the ECU parameters, I used Microsoft Excel. Converting to a two bar system was simple, just chizzle off the unncessary bars. Fuel flow is regulated by a spagetti strainer....

bring on the question, tough guy!!!!!
