Test drove a 2007 SS S/C

First let me start off by saying there were two on the lot.

The one on the show room floor looked normal except the gun metal rims have definitely changed. There seems to be a sunken lip on them now, not flat like the original ones. I liked them a bit better. Also, I can't get used to the radio or the controls on the new steering wheel.

The second one was the one we took out. It had the 18's polished and the low profile wing. I definitely DO NOT like the look of the low pro wing on the SS S/C. And tell me why this dealership was trying to charge $800 for pin striping and some rubber mouldings Also, I know some people say that the boost is limited until broken in...this one was making full boost with only 5 miles on the odometer.

Anyway....sorry I didn't get any pictures (my cell sucks anyway) but all in all, I think I'd much rather have an 06' than an 07'

I like the '06s better than the '07s. I dont like the steering wheel or the radio at all. And I do know what you mean about the wheels. I have seen a couple pics of some on here, I think they look a little different. I wouldnt use the AUX port on the '07 radio, I put sirius in my SS/SC. I couldnt be happier with it. You should be able to find a good price on a '06 if you act quick, '07s are right around the corner.

lol...We were just entertaining the idea of trading in the goat for a another 'balt but realized that saving only $60 a month wouldn't be worth it. We would consider it for maybe $100 less a month, but who knows

I test drove a 06 SS S/C back in May and i really loved it but after buying a 2007 SS S/C i like it a bit better. I know there is not much difference at all but i really like the new steering wheel and radio better than the 06 model. As for the new rims i didnt get the high polished ones i just got the standard rims but i like them better.

I certainly like the 07 rims more. Again, it really comes down to personal preference though. Both are nice.

Limited boost eh?
What is it supposed to be boosting at, at the low kms?
Mine boosts to 6-6.5 and it has just under 1k on it; And has been since I purchased it!
*I will admit I gave'r a lil rip when I took it out the first time*

i dont know if this helps...i have a full stripe kit on mine that the dealership did, it cost 800 but it was clearcoated and painted on.

i would love to have a aux input on the radio also, for the ipod...i am not a fan of fm transmitters and dont want to put a new hu in it yet.

Paint is different.....they were charging $800 for the vinyl ***** you can get at pep boys and do yourself in about 30 minutes.....I find it pretty funny.

How does yours look? Do you have any pictures, I'd be interested in seeing them actually done right as opposed to the vinyl

I agree with you about the '07 wheels. I saw one in person the other day and they don't look as sleek at the '05-06 SS/SC wheels.
