1/4 info for the Calgary area.
With some basic bolt-on, you can get low 14's. My best time is a 14.3 and I think Jekyl has gotten down to 14.2 or 14.1 on street tires.
I'll be at Race City this Friday. Just watch for the Saturn with the loud 'charger.

I ran 14.1 at 104 mph on street tires in Calgary. I ran 14.0 on slicks on my practice run, then broke my axle so i couldnt get a good run in.
Stock cobalts run low 15s in calgary. Only one so far has hit a 14.9 and the air that night was the best air the track has seen this year.
I dont think anyone will be beating that with a stock cobalt at race city.
I ran 13.93 @ 102 mph in mission on street tires. But the car isnt running right, I should have ran faster, I am having belt problems. Read my thread in General Cobalts about that.
So yeah. there you have it.

Come out on friday, we can make it an official meet, order pizza, and I'll get the strippers and beer!
Yesssssss
I'm a decent 1/4 mile driver, was able to hit the best E/T's in a few of my friends cars
We'll see though, never dragged this puppy yet, so I'll need to learn a few things!

Hey watcher, I am willing to bet 2 bucks that you wont run better than a 15.2.
So come saturday morning, if you post a timeslip with a 15.19 or better, i will owe you 20 bucks.
I am so confident becuase I have 65+ passes experience in this car and I know how hard it was to get used to the first time out.
But anyhow..... good luck.

Cody you got that wrong. The air was nothing great that night. It wasn't the night I ran 15.7--if thats what your thinking.

anyhow!!! my wager still stands.
Haha, the bet was up for me!
And alas, I could not pull it out of my ****!
These puppies are hard to launch...
Only got 4 runs in, but I had a wicked launch on the last one :O
Followed up by missing 3rd, lolol

I managed to watch you guys do a run together. With practice, I'm sure better times can be achieved. It takes a fair bit of practice to learn how to launch these cars. Last night, My best 60' was only a 2.299.

MUAHAHAH I was right.
Do not doubt the Great Jekyl with all his wisdom.
still, I give you props for running a 15.2 your first time out.
Ask Ed how to launch. I taught him well.
