how do i get these off

I want to get my tan pods off my car. not sure if they are called pods but figured it be easy to get anyone an idea of what i'm talking about. I want to get them off but they have air bags under them. Will the air bag go off if i try and get them off or do they not come off?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey, i actually have removed my "pillars" and my headliner to recover them in another material. Take a small flathead screwdriver or something and remove the small round disc. Underneath there is a screw. Remove it with an allen key. You will have to use some force, pull the pillar out then up. you'll see the clips that held it in there. I dont have the side airbags so it might be different than yours. Why are you taking yours off?

Are you my doppelganger? SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME. Cig burn hole. I went to a fabric store and picked out some velvety soft stuff that makes women melt and some headliner adhesive in a can. I covered the pillars in the same material but i havent gotten around to doing the headliner yet.

The fabric stuck to the pillar? I haven't done the headrest yet because i havent decided what to do with the visors and sunroof cover, either leave them the badge and play off it around my car or try and make them black too. Anyone know if its easy to re-do the visors and get the sunroof slider off to re-do that too?

I would go professional with that

Most things interier wise, you can do your self, but the stiching on the visiors and the sunroof cover/panel i would go professional, it would be cheaper then you think. I have done some major interior jobs on older cars, like my 87 camaro. But the fine detail will make any interior. Just my two cents....... Good luck and have fun with the work

Yeah, just use regular headliner adhesive ( find at pep boys or whatever ) spray in on wait 2 minutes for it to "tack" then stretch it over the pillar. After that get a hot glue gun and put it about 1/4 inch away from the edge on the INSIDE of the pillar and stretch the fabric over. cut off the excess. then cut a small circle in the middle where the little button goes. just leave a little slack so when you put the button back on it wont show a seam.
