any one think about their first brake upgarde for your SS
it definatly needs more stop
i was thinking just slotted rotors with steel braided lines would be plenty
that is usually the setup i ran on my other cars and adds a good bit of stopping force

I work at Stainless Steel Brakes in Clarence, we've already came out for a kit for the base model cobalt, front and rear. I bought an SS and we will be working on a big brake kit in the near future, i just gotta get on the owner about it. As for stainless lines....the only thing it does is make it look nice, the regular lines are good to about 3000 PSI, it says so in all our instructions, so it's mainly a cosmetic upgrade. But i will get back to all of you when we start developing the new kit. If you want to see some of the existing products check out www.ssbrakes.com.

that must of been your gold SS there when i dropped my SS off to get the brakes done.

The SS kit is finished and will be going into production shortly.

The kit was made to fit the 17'' ION Redline wheels as well so that is why its 11.5'' with 2 piston front and rear.

when u pick up and drop your car off at a 5 places a month its hard to keep clean.

the car is being used for product development in alot of areas.

right now we are making the carbon lip and fenderflare kit for the car that will debut at sema. As well header, intake, exhaust, the brakes, airride and a whole bunch of other toys.

I keep my Saturn ion clean. the Cobalt is a toy for now, soon to be promoted to my demo vehicle.
