Yes, it will apply to that as well. We were planning to only offer it on the complete combo, but are now going to offer it on the individual items as well!

Awesome, Glad to see a place close by. Couple questions:

Are the prices on your site in Canadian or American dollars?

Does the hood mount and latch to the stock locations without any modification?

Is the hood finished on both sides and does it have wrapped edges?

The prices are in US, however if you look to the right there is a currency select box.

Yes, the hood mounts using all stock mounting points without any modification.

All of our products are finished on both sides. Our edges are not "wrapped", but they are completely finished unlike many other manufactures.

Btw, if you are close to the GTA area (local to me) please give us a call! I offer the option to pick up which will save you shipping charges.

I think I'm going to have to hold out until there is a different hood available. I just cant justify it to myself to replace my stock black hood with a stock CF hood. Id love to get the trunk and hood @ the same time, but I need some sort of scoop on the hood or something. :)

Patiently waiting :D

have an example of what you had in mind? We will not do an EVO style though for the Cobalt... we just don't picture that looking too great on a Cobalt.

I've got a vented design in mind. We'd like to try to keep the "North American" feel to this car if we can, which is why we'd prefer to stay away from the EVO style. Once I play around with it a bit I'll post to get some feedback. Please give me a few days for this though.

Yes, but with the venting right above the S/C it could help with cooling as well. Someone should attemp a photoshop as from the last thread there seems to be a few people intrested in the evo style hood.

I just wanted to mention, since there seems to be some questions regarding this...

Our hoods will NOT cloud, fade, or turn yellow like most other manufacture's. The reason for this is because we use a special proprietary clear coat mix, which is made using high quality PPG clear coat! That's right, we clear coat all of our products! It is not just a cheap clear gel coat finish like so many others. Because of our clear coat finish, our products have a high gloss showroom quality finish that can be waxed just the same as the factory clear coat on your car!

maybe you can provide us a non-clear coat version? I for one would sand it off anyways for paint.

Also, whats the weight differences between your hood/trunk vs. stock ?

Sorry we do not offer that. All of our products undergo the same process when manufacturing them.

To be honest, I am not 100% sure on what the OEM parts weight. Our hood weights approx. 15lbs, while the trunk is around 10lbs.

will your hood take the stock hood blanket?
Also when will you have a air scoop or other design ready, really want a unique air extractor or intake hood other than the SS camaro copies out there...

have pics of the underside?:twothumbs

In regards to the hood (and trunk for that matter), both use all stock mounting points and accommodate the stock props/struts.

Yes, disconnect and hide those wires.

Isn't there a manual trunk release? I've honestly never had someone ask that before, and I haven't heard of it happening.

the manual trunk release was the key..... the only other one is the electric popper in the dash, its a solonoid so it needs electricity

Don't unhook your battery if you need to access the trunk then ;)

As I said, in all honesty we have never heard of anyone having a problem with this and MANY of our products have the key hole shaved. Don't your rear seats fold down to allow excess to the trunk?

mugencivicsi

our seats fold down... but the access to the mechanism (probrably spelt wrong) is in the trunk...

yes many of of your products have a shaved keyhole, but how many of those cars have batteries in the trunk?

to unhook your battery you have to open the trunk, i was just saying like say if you were working on your car with the battery unhooked for saftey reasons and shut your hood trunk on accedent (sounds dumb but its just as eqasy as locking your keys in your car)

rear seats foild down but from the trunk

like i said above, i think we can hook the jumpers form another battery to those post under our hood and pop it:cssNET:

i cant wait for my trunk

From now, until Nov. 1st, 2006 we are offering all members of CobaltSS.net a 10% discount on any hood & trunk.

Example:
- Includes Shipping Anywhere in North America! (Excluding Hawaii/Alaska)

Cobalt CF OEM Style Hood & Trunk Combo (Reg. $1240) - 10% = $1116 ($124 savings)

On your web Page it shows that Each Peice is 558.26 For Hood and 558.26 For Trunk

558.26x2 = 1116.52
10% of 1116.52 = 111.652 (or 111.65) FOR coupon code cobaltSS to recieve 10% off

so 1116.52-111.652 = 1004.868 = or roughly $1005:ca:

so it is actually cheaper then what you stated seeing you didnt factor in the cupon code good till November 1st...
hope that helps your sale.....
