View Full Version : Tune Time Performance PCM Review
srt-killer 09-16-2006, 02:55 PM I just got in my custom pcm in from tune time performance last week. I have been using the intense stage 3 pcm. I have made other treads about problems i have been having with the intense pcm, with the ttp one all of my problems went away. The car runs much smother at all rpms and my revlimiter was raised to 7300. The car has alot more bottem-mid range tq., were the intense one is lacking. The car pulles hard all the way to redline. I had the pcm tuned for nitrous so its roughly 10hp shy of what it could be, and even with it tuned for nitrous the car is faster now than what it was with the intense pcm. I have not had the chance to spray on it yet to see what it does. On the intense pcm when i would spray it wouldn't make that much of a difference. All you do is send or e-mail them a list of all your mods so they can tune it to those mods, Once you get it on a dyno and you see some thing you don't like you can send it back and they will work on it till its perfect. If you dicied to change your mods its only 50 bucks and they will retune it to your new mods. All in all the car runs like a completly different car. I am completly satisfied with their pcm. Also they have great customer service, very help full in answering any questions.
Cobalt_Supercharged 09-16-2006, 03:00 PM Glad to hear that. I was wondering how the Tune Time Perforance PCM compared to the Intense PCM for the 2.0. I had only heard the 2.4 results.
Allshot 09-16-2006, 03:00 PM How much was it for the original tune?
srt-killer 09-16-2006, 03:14 PM Its 500 but life time tunning. I know its a little pricy but like i said if there is anything you don't like in the tune they will fix it. Not to mention they tune it to what you want. Its not just a base tune like intense there all custome done to your mods and what you want it for.
Allshot 09-16-2006, 03:16 PM Damn they charge 450 for a tune over here. And they dyno tune it. Hopefully its worth it
srt-killer 09-16-2006, 03:19 PM Every penny worth! I cant complain! compared to how it ran before with the intense pcm to now, 100% better!
Allshot 09-16-2006, 03:20 PM Thats all that matters. You need to get to a dyno and see what your putting down.
Bad06SS 09-16-2006, 04:06 PM I'm glad you're happy with it. I have a few questions. Do you have any before and after dyno results or track results to prove the car is actually faster, and that it's not just better driveability? Have you been scanning, so that you can see what the car is doing before and after? I've been always telling people that an actual custom dyno is the only way to go. With stage kits, you get a basic tune, that safe enough to market and put on everyone's cars. The only real way to maximize your car's setup is with a custom dyno, preferrably on the street vs the dyno.:)
SSinPhilly 09-16-2006, 04:43 PM So your saying 500 and you can schedule anytime if you want a tune.
SSinPhilly 09-16-2006, 04:43 PM does anybody have an address for tune time?
beltdriven 09-16-2006, 05:08 PM www.tunetimeperformance.com Has his own site his shops in long branch, not far from seaside you can get a dyno done near atco racetrack
DTM2188 09-16-2006, 08:57 PM Good to hear positive feedback, I'll have to shoot them an e-mail.

No i don't have any before and after dyno's or a scanner. Im just going off of feal. The car has alot more throttle response than before and when before i would race my friend in his nitrous integra and me not on bottle from a second gear roll, by the end of 3rd he would have about 3/4 car on me, now when we raced friday and sat night from the same speed i would have 1/2 car on him by the end of 3rd.

SRT killer I can't wait to see what you do next . I throw up some before and after's for the ported blower when we get it on the dyno .
Asphalt Assault 09-19-2006, 11:32 AM man 500 or 350? quite a range. I think I would rather split the cost of HP tuners.
srt-killer 09-19-2006, 11:56 AM man 500 or 350? quite a range. I think I would rather split the cost of HP tuners.
Ya you can split the cost of hp tuners and tune it your self and hope you hit it on the mark or get a dyno tune for 350 that will be perfect.

It's $450 regular and on sale for $350
2K5SS/SC? 09-24-2006, 01:13 PM That's a deal for a dyno tune. When I get back, I just may make a little trip up to NJ for one. Glad to hear the tune turned out great.
