g5mike 09-18-2006, 09:20 PM Are you using the competitive steering nuckles?, what mods have you done(outsisde of tires&springs) to strengthen your suspension for auto X
alleycat58 09-18-2006, 10:31 PM Awesome! I got 2nd place this weekend. Had I gotten my best non-comp run in with the comp runs I would have won.
LOL appearantly we have a rollover sensor that I tripped and OnStar called me in the middle of a run and said they'd received notification that I"d been in a collision!!!!!!

That is awesome!!
Hey guys, I am going to do my first Auto-X this weekend. Do you have any tips for me? I will be on the stock Pirellis, what air pressure should I be running?
Also, allerycat, if you are interested, I am trying to get Rota to make us some lightweight wheels in stock dimensions.
:twothumbs

I am not running the competitive steering knuckles cause, regrettably, they are against the rules for my class. And I have not done anything to strengthen my suspension yet, but I will (only allowed to change front stabilizer bar and shocks in my class).
red_wing_2121 09-19-2006, 12:33 PM By the way, I did see another Cobalt there. It was a blackk SS S/C and I talked to the guy who owns it and said he is a member of CobaltSS.net but rarely comes on or posts much.:bye:
roccityroller 09-19-2006, 12:40 PM w00t for base models! nice job
conemark 09-20-2006, 12:19 AM Congrats on taking the win! You certainly had a diverse class there in G-Stock.
On a side note, the Solo Nationals in Topeka Kansas will be help next week. Here's hoping the GM Performance Division guys do well in D-Stock with their Red SS/SC. I'll be there on Tuesday & Wednesday running another Chevrolet product.

What mods do you have, that will determine your class.
Tire pressure depends on personal preference, I run 5 lbs more in the back, for me that makes the car handle the way I like, the front sticks and the back steps around, I just love the way the car feels that way, but you experiment on your own and see what you prefer.
Hehehe, I'm not in stock class so wheels don't matter to me. I run in D Street Prepared and I freakin love it - bring on the suspension mods!!!!!!!
I run Kosei wheels 17" 17lbs each with Avon Tech-R's.

The only mods I have are torque damper and strut brace which could easily be removed.
LittleStealthSS 09-20-2006, 09:29 AM congrats on the G-stock win. That's a tought class to run with the Mini's and the GTI's... good job!
Since I'm in D-stock.. running the SS... I can't comment on exact pressures, but it all depends on what your preferenes are when it comes to how the rear rotates, and how "loose" a feel you like.
I run my backs 4 lbs less than the fronts ( 41F/37R ) on the 18s.
Currently, I'm in 5th ( out of 30+drivers ) in our "street tire shootout" class. Local SCCA club allows r-comps on stock size rims and still be in stock, so I can't keep up there, so I run there instead. Next year, though, I'll either be in DS there, or in DSP, or SM. All depends on how mod happy i get

That is kinda what my class is. Street Tire G-Stock. The minimum treadwear of the tires is 200.
