Cobalt Addiction Carbon Fiber Wing, anyone have it?

Hey Guys,
So who has it or has installed it?

I called them and asked them if the carbon fiber wing can be purchased with out the fiber glass towers, they said no you have to buy the whole thing.

Does anyone know if their carbon fiber wing has the same gay slot under the wing that the stock one has? That slot kills any chance you have of creating any down force by disrupting the air flow going under the wing (see Bernoulli’s principle).

Does anyone know if the CF wing is solid on the freeway or does it flap around as well since they both use the fiber glass side towers?

Thanks.
Brady

..and note the back edge of the wing, see how it's black? Did they paint it black to match the car or is the underside black?

Anyone know?

Thanks!

THe wing does NOT have the 1.5" indent on the underside. The whole middle section is carbon fiber and can bolt onto the stock towers . The edges are painted black as the wing has seems at the edges where the carbon fiber is wrapped . The paint covers these edges so it has a nice border.
They currently are on order form our manufacturer and are expected to be in stock in about 3 - 4 weeks

Thank you Ma'am,

So does it also flap around like the stock wing, I've noticed the stock wing tends to bow at the center rather then the whole thing shaking.

Do you know how the wing comes apart? I'm guessing there are side plates that pop off on the sides of the towers to un bolt the wing? Can the wing be dissasembled while still glued to the car?

One last question, does the wing come with the big sticky pads and bolts like the factory wing?

Thanks.
B

I'd really like to see some pics from the underside as well as close ups of the side towers on the inside and the outside. I'm sure whoever gets theirs installed first will post good detailed pix...I'm hoping.

I think you made the best decision. What you can do now is take the side towers that come with the CF wing and sell those along with your old wing on ebay. You should be able to pick up $100-$200 online for the stock, half-painted wing.

Th problem with the other CF wing is that you're left with just a stock wing and the side covers.

If you knew me, i keep all my stock parts. Just incase something crazy happens and I need to put the car back to stock. I have all my stock parts laying either in the garage or in the basement.
