I love sleepers, nice clean Neon! It will be nice to have a SRT4 owner on here that actually admits that his car is a Neon.

I'm guessing 8.95 is in the 1/8th or 1,000'?

i saw one of these at Desoto Speedway back in Bradenton. An older man owned it. The car was nice. Looked exactly like yours lol. I think all of his runs were in the 13's somewhere.

subframe is identical (minus one pre-drilled hole). body is approx the same. imo the biggest weight difference is the neon brakes vs. the srt brakes, 2.4 block, and the heavy leather/vinyl interior. i weighed the difference and it is about 150-200ish depending on fuel and scale differences.

yes, it is still definetley a neon

thank you for the welcome guys!

id just like to point out that you do not run an 8.55 stock... since you dont have the stock engine. thats like calling a monster miata(ford 302 powered) stock.

he meant with a stock srt-4 engine. No mods to the engine.

Hey man, nice car. You should get stage 3 with toys for that, then it would be a really nasty sleeper.

man you read a lot into my post didn't ya? . OK to clarify... on the stock SRT ENGINE. i never said my 2.0 would run that...

yeah i would like to get a stage 3 at some point... but damn it got really expensive.

i really haven't raced a lot of people with it other than at the track and my buddies... so i guess i haven't really shocked anyone with it other than a few mustang guys at the track.

No need to be a ***** about it start calling him a ricer. And actually as far as I thought, most people consider stock to mean stock power levels, not like you rolled off the assy line. We're not bracket racing here, no need for the excessive tech.

Are you the type who will harass people for claiming 'stock' times when they have some suspension mods?

BS aside, welcome to the site steelybob

If you did the swap yourself, props man. That's beyond clean.

Either way, nice sleeper man, keep it clean

SS33 (looks like im a ricer too)

yes it was actually my 2nd one. the other went into a 2002 se. the 2003 was a lot easier as on the 2002 virtually all the wiring has to be swapped unless you want to hack.
