Well us GM small car owners here in San Antonio are forming a club called GM Small Cars of San Antonio. We need more cobalts and ions to join up cuz there are nothing but cavaliers and just me and one Redline(Andrew) So whos in?

Hey there, I'm new to the forums, and I don't actually own a cobalt, but I know for damn sure it's my next car. But I wanted to get in on the chat, and the reading and stuff, get to know some of the city owners before I finally get mine. I'll actually be joining the air force in december, saving for a few months, then getting my very own Cobalt SS/SC. But I did wanna mentino that I'm out here in San Antonio as well.

 

what car do you have right now?

 

Ehhh, right now I drive a 2005 neon sxt, kinda shitty i know, but it was a trade in to get us out of the old POS i was driving before, I haven't saved up money for a new car yet, nor do I have any credit built up, I'm only 20 now, and i haven't got a credit card, so that's why it's so difficult for me as yet

welcome to the site. Just curious r u gonna get a new cobalt or a used one? Cuz you can get one for very good price with low mileage. Possibly 5000 less than a new one. I'm not quite sure what I'll get, if I can find a used one with low mileage, I'll probably go with that, but as it is, I got no credit, and no cash saved up, so it'll be a few months still yet, and probably not until almost february or march, but I figured I could start learning and chatting about the car, with people who own them and such, I'm like, 100% sure i'll be getting the S/C cobalt, it's all i want, i'll carry the insurance and stuff since i'm going into the airforce in december, gonna save almost all of my paychecks since i don't have many bills and it will be free room and board on base stuff like that, save up a downpayment, pay off a little more of the neon, get that thing the fck outa the way, get rid of it and get my new cobalt

 

thats cool I was looking at a red 06 ss/sc over at tom benson it was a repo only had 550miles on it. Really clean almost traded my 2.4SS for it. I guess I'm gonna have to save up and turbo my 2.4SS

hahaha, i already know the answer to this but it's worth a shot, if I am able to show up one night, i'd do almost anything to be able to drive one of these, hahaha, i talked to a dealership earlier this week, and the guy told me there are NO new ss/sc's in san antonio right now because they're like 'limited edition' or something stupid, best bet would be to search autotrader for a used one, but right now, there's no way in hell i'd be able to test drive one, i prooomise i'm a good driver lmao

 

Also,i gotta work till 9 this friday, so if I can show up...i'll be late, and i duno how long y'all stick around

 

i dunno about driving mine lol. i'm the only supercharged one out there right now. i could take you for a ride on friday, and maybe sometime down the road when i get to knwo you better i might let you take it for a spin. although mine isn't a cobalt, it's a redline. same thing, just different body. if you want a ride just ask

lol the only time i really get out is to the car meets. i'm actually on of the newest ppl that go out there as well. just started to do the car meet thing maybe about 2 months ago. before then i used to just stay inside lol.
