thanks for the coments, lol can;t please everyone. actually the reason I went with the RED was for contrast AND the shop only had blue and red in stock. lol

the tires WERE A BITCH but look sweet.

I was only gonna do the P ZERO and PIRELLI only but I was drinking and well,, got a little happy with the yellow tire marker...

yeah not sure how long it will last, we'll see. I just always loved the yellow good year tires.

And most every Porshe I have seen no matter what color body seemed to always have red calipers...

ok today at noon, I'll take the Engineering camera out and take the car down the steeet and see if I can get some good overall shots.

the red really does look sweet, because of the contrast. the red calipers looked even better to me after I painted the tires.

The hardest part of the tire painting was cleaning the tires. the Dealership puts NASTY tire dressing on it. the first day I drove it home my entire rear body work was covevred with tire dressing.. yuk. I found a spray on cleaner called Bleche White. worked awesome but it took 2-3 times to ensure a clean finish.

Also the Tire pen is cool but...... like any paint pen it has a fiber tip... if the lettering was smooth it would have been a ton easier, but no.... the lettering is made up of millions of raised bumps so you can color the letters like you'd expext with the paint pen... you actually have to "dab" the tip like your giving the tire a tattoo. very tedious.

while the calipers were drying I took the wheel and put it on my lap and the opther edge on a table so it angled down to my lap, this provided the most comfortable way to do this.

I think that looks great! I like the red calipers with the yellow car, and the yellow tires are fantastic looking.
