GM Canada has finally decided to advertise the Cobalt! I've been checking thier page for weeks now waiting for this info. The link is here:
http://www.gmcanada.com/english/vehicles/chevrolet/coba/coba_overview.html
Not only does it have the base specs listed (final curb weight is 2806, not bad), but also there's some new pictures I haven't seen before, including shots of each interior available with the Supercharged SS. It looks like the final gauges are shown there too!

Holly shittz! That car looks better and better each tome I see it! 8O
The interior has me owned! I need that car.
Nice new pics! They did not update the US site yet.
Dude i don't care what anyone else says, but that all black leather interior rules all. The only other one i'd get would be the black/red interior. The Yellow just seems too much for me to handle and the blue just doesn't look right i don't know maybe i have to see it in person.

damn that blue colored coupe looks great.
I really wish there was an engine between the 2.2 and the 2.0 S/C........like the 2.4L! Wonder whats the real story behind its late arival.

Very, very sweet interior. The Ion Redline's Interior is so much below it. And 2806 pounds is also good... someones gotta rub this in some j-body.org faces (ahem Geo/GT's possibly) and their prophesies of a 3100 pound car.

Now I know we cant compare the Cobalt with the Lancer EVO, But the lancer rally art weight 2,996 pounds. So with the Cobalt at 2806 with a supercharger. I think its safe to say this car is going to MOVE! 8O

Yeah it'll definitely move, and handle well too. I'm tired of people saying that the semi-independent system sucks and it will handle exactly like a cavalier. It won't. The components are all better, the system design is better and the chassis is WAY better. In last months R&T (or maybe it was C&D, i dont remember) the Redline easily outhandled the IRS Neon SRT-4. The semi-independent is not only a proven performer, but they used it because is was the best bang-for-the-buck system to get them to the handling capabilities they wanted.

that's the point I'm trying to push on jbo(trying is the operative word here, everyone there knows everything) - just because it uses a similar suspension design, absolutely does not mean it will handle the same. that's the same as saying my mom's 99 escort wagon handles just as good as the SVT focus(HA!) because it has the same suspension design and similar weight; or saying the 2005 mustangs will handle the same as the fox and sn95 bodies(quite possibly the only car more dated than the jbody) because they both use a solid axle.
there are too many factors here - chassis regidity, bushing design, suspension geometry(with snowmobiles, geometry changes as small as + or - 1 degree on the shock angles make a difference), etc. all play into the bigger picture.
I just wish moms car handled as well as the SVT......

another argument geo/gt is making is the overall smaller size will hurt handling.
let's run that by anyone who owns a mini cooper, or lotus elise.......
