Seems like we are now about 30~ days from K&N releasing the new K&N typhoon intake for our Cobalt SS's !

They have made it as a one piece setup, and have gained good power with it!

This will be the first intake on the market, and with K&N's unparalleled quality and fitment, we know this will be a good intake.

How much you guys think I shuld be putting to the ground with the magnaflow catback and the KN intake. shoulda that be enough to take on a stock srt4

When they prototyped the intake on my car it was getting around 8 hp so it would be around that give or take a few (hopefully give!)

8hp is still a great number for just an intake...but yess 10 would be a insane power gain for just an intake...ill deffinatley getting one :cool:

I cant make any comments on that, but let me just state that I would never make this up, and I wouldnt trust just any K&N person's information and then post it here.

We have a strong reputation to live up to, and making up false information, or going on wild guess's is something we wont do.

Count the days from this post, watch how close I will be for release of the intake, and for what Ive told you so far about it. :cool:

Its hard to say, as that depends on what the srt-4 has done, and how good of a driver both you and the other person are. But, lets just say that this, coupled with a good exhaust is going to improve on the already very impressive stock hp numbers !

So we going to be able to order it from you guys in 24 days ??

i just want an intake already this fuel economy right now is killing me i need to free up some air so im not eating up gas all the time i mean yeah exhaust will help but i want my engine to be free flowing so i can just kill people that much faster!!!!

Oh yea! I love K&N CAI. Had one on my Z24, to bad a CAI isn't recommened on auto Lancer's had to go short-ram. I want to pre-order!

The Typhoon for the RL is $250, so figure this has to be pretty close to that.

What about us Cobalt LS people? Is this intake compatible with a LS? And if not when is the LS coming.
