I think there should be a huge cobalt meet next year. I was sent an email from a guy from a car show and its about holding car club meet or shows. Check out the website for it....http://www.armoryevents.com/page1/page1.html. I think if someone can organize this we could have a decent size meet/show. We could try to get a dynojet to come, some tuning with HP Tuners, part swap, maybe some vendors could come. I just read that email and was thinking about it. Anyone think this would be a good idea? Hold it like in spring/summer. Organize it early and plan it out so its not thrown together. I think somewhere in central PA would be a good central place to hold it. Again its just an idea.

We would have to find someone that would want to head up this event and get the ball rolling. I think it would be awesome. I could help with things, but I dont want to be the one to organize the whole thing.

 

you should talk to that guy that organizes, i would love to help, but i dont have connections like you guys, being from a small town and all. lets see what some of the connections some of our members have here. if we pull our resources, then we can have one huge meet.

I saw that one too and thought the same thing you are thinking...heres my thought. Being our cars are brand new (within 3 years) we as a group havent been able to organize a meet of that caliber. But we do have a huge database and x amount of members on here so we might be able to squeeze by on that one.

i think if we do a multi day event it will allow more people to travel and we may be able to get a hotel or campground to give a group discount

an atv site that my parents belong to just started organizing huge meets in the PA area (Quadfest) and you would be surprised what business will give to get their name on it. This past year, the second year of the event, we had about 1800 people and quads.

this could take off, it just takes alot of planning and very dedicated people who want to see the success of it.

 

I am all about this meet. Count me in 100%. I emailed the guy back who sent me that email asking for his assistance in organizing it. Also Im going to call the guy who organize the OC Car Show also.

 

i would be down for this. would be much fun. hopfully HP supports 05 2.2 lol if not then wow they suck. would be crazy fun.

i'd be down! As the president of my car club, i've put together and held a few small local shows/BBQs at small parks w/ great success, so i'll help in anyway possible!

 

sounds good...you could get by rule numbe to...just make a weekend to the beach with a group of people...cruise to 5 different locations and take some pictures....its cheating but who will know.... i would be in but it all depends what day(s) and where..

we gotta start with a date. i can start looking for locations and what not....sutliff chevy might let us do something in their parking lot. i can run over this week and talk to em....that can get us started....there is a local portable dyno i can call. there is plenty of local shops i can get to come....wow now you got me started jeff.....

UPDATE: ok i made some calls to my friend that runs the above show wr evolution. he said if we wanna get with them and next year have a cobalt only section at their show thats fine. he said for me to get info and details together and get back with him. he said we can be headlined on thier website and all. this is one of the biggest shows in the area. in past years they have had it a a huge parking garaage in harrisburg pa. this year it is gonna be a lebonan expo center in pa. he said we are more then welcome to come to this years show and all get aparked together. its on august 11th and then the 12th is the harrisbiug meet at adams ricci park. im will be at this show myself....
