Never had a car with wipers like this

I just noticed today (only took me 3 months), that one wiper is 16 3/4" and the other is 22 3/4". I've never had a car that had mis-matched sizes like that before. I guess if I buy aftermarket blades down the road I'll just have to buy a pair of each size instead, and hope I don't lose the ones I don't put on in my garage later.

...just thought it was weird.

When I buy wipers I just buy one wiper for each side. Don't buy 2 for each side, you run the risk of them eventually drying out wherever you store them and possibly cracking.

The Cavalier was the same way, driver's side blade was much longer than the passenger's side.

Replacement wiper are NEVER as good as the OEM wipers. I usually just get the blade refills because the replacement wiper blades never mold to the windsheild like the OEM do.

I agree. On my Cavi, it was never the same after the first change, EVERY other blade for the 7 1/2 years I owned the car sucked. I always ended up with a big splotch SOMEWHERE from the crappy blades.

I've never had a problem with buying Rain-X replacement blades.

I know if you replace the arm piece (don't know what you call it, but the piece the blade slides into) they are sold in packages containing only one. But from what I remember at auto parts stores if you buy just the blade refills, they are usually sold in pairs (don't change them as often as I should so I'm not certain ).

So how does the the dealer gouge us for if we get the refills there?

I've heard great things about Bosch wiper blades.

that one wiper is 16 3/4" and the other is 22 3/4".
So 17" and 22" size blades should be fine, right? I can't find a 23" size blade and I can't find a mention of wiper blade sizes in the owner's manual (unless I'm blind or something).

I've noticed the wipers on my SS S/C to be superb. It forms to the windshield great, and got a piece of bird **** off the winshield with ease . I guess that's what I get for parking under trees. The washer fluid also get's applied in a fine mist...works like a charm.
