My review on my CTI 3" exhaust

Ok i installed my TOG header, CA Downpipe, and my CTI 3" exhaust. I drove it to the muffler shop with just the Downpipe on there. Boy is that loud. The piping was little long and we had to cut the 3rd piece 3 1/2 inches to get the muffler to be flush with the bumper. Now i know i going to hear. Post some sound clips. give me a few days to figure that out.

When you first crank it up it has a nice start up. at normal speed it sounds good and mellow. But WOT doesnt sound great to me. but it doesnt sound bad but to some it may sound good. Power wise. Its not dyno proven but i think i lost power. i can not longer spin in 1st. i wheel hop. I think that when u get to a certain point. you dont have wheel hop. u just spin real bad. and now i dont have the power so i have wheel hop instead of spinning. make any sense? But overall i like the mellow sound of the exhaust and i think once the downpipe gets worked in ( which i hear it doesnt sound good at first) it will sound good. But im not happy about my lose of power. but i havent tested the top end yet.

Overall. Good exhaust.

Bigger Exhaust = more top end, less low end.

TOG = Questionable..

when you can afford it get the long tube header setup from CTI as well. Great compliment. TOG = Paper weight.

Oh no doubt it would be if it was a good header, not bashing just stating too many people had questionable transactions from that company and some never got the product. Those who did got prototype header that was sold to the public and was never made correctly.

I feel your going to have leaks even if you try fabbing. The collectors just don't line up..or they are too far apart from the motor in terms of gapping.

How the hell do you still say the exhaust is good when it is supposed to be a bolt on and you had to trim 3" off of it.......

thats what i am saying. You can't call it a review of the CTI 3 inch when you installed a crappy DP and Header.

I showed gains with my CTI header and Downpipe, and Pete showed Gains with the CTI 3 inch Setup. So I think you need to re evaluate and get the CTI header and DP.

And like stated before TOG=Paperweight

I just got my 2.5" xtc b-pipe w/cat fron CA. It's ****. I have a 2.4, so I don't know how their 3" model works on a 2.0.

The cat doesn't rattle at all like everyone is saying the CTI does. BTW, it has Vibrant stamped on the rear flange, so it must be made with vibrant components.

most of the reason dps rattle is because not put on correctly trust me i made the mistake of that

too tight on one side and not tight enough on the other will make it rattle

yeah the more people keep nailing me about the TOG header the more i think im going to have to change it. I bougt for a good price from someone but now i guess i know why. I havent got over 50 mph yet so i havent seen top end. CA is a vibrant DP. its not crappy. wouldnt the only thing crappy on a DP be the cat?

Hey, do you get a... "thumpy" sound in your exhaust? I don't know, its hard to explain, but I just got done with pacesetter header and 3" catless exhaust and I have this thumpy sound. Like I said its hard to explain, but it kinda sounds like an STi exhaust, real choppy and stuff. I know the car is running right too, its not missing or anything I think it might just be the fact that I have a header and no cat.
