went to the track!

so i finally got to go to the track again(1/8 mile). its been awhile. anyway i should have some video up soon, but here is the summary.

first i raced a 5.7L GTO w/ exhaust. i killed him off the line and then he missed 2nd so i murdered him.

next i raced him again, this time it was closer. i beat him off the line again and pulled about 1 1/2 to 2 cars on him. stayed that way till the end.

next i raced my buddy's redline w/ a 3" pulley. he was having a lot of traction issues so it wasnt a very close race. cant wait till he can get some traction, outta be a good race.

finally i raced a cobalt just like mine except he had a 3" pulley, 42.5/lb injectors and no G85. we launched pretty even off the line and once i hit 2nd i pulled maybe a car on him, couldnt really tell for sure.

sorry for the tease, but i just wanted to give a summary before the videos get posted.

Not to change the subject but are you still running the 2.8 inch pulley on stock injectors and stock tune?

And what kind of 1/8 times did you get?

Because the only way you could possibly be running safe is if you still haven't done the boost bypass mod. So pretty much you will hit 16 or 17 psi but then drop down to 14ish. If you are seeing the full 16-17 at redline, I would get a scanner to see if you are getting any knock. Because a 2.8 is just too small for the stock injectors and tune.

i totally agree with you here, but oddly i have no knock at all. but no worries ill have injectors very soon. and no i havent done the boost bypass mod.
anyway, my times actually werent that great, worse than stock. in fact everyone out there ran crap times. this track is not the best for hooking up and its not the one i got my 9.2 at. it was about 70 out and seemed a bit humid, but despite that i was running moslty 9.3's and i think i did 9.5 once. not too impressive... but still fun!!!

yeah... 9.3's and a 9.5... shitty as hell, but expected at that track. ill have to go to the other track and give yall times from there. good wins though. considering what all the other cars were running that night, my times actually werent bad in comparison.

Our "colleague" from work indicated that some girl with an F-body was runnning mid 7s. Did you get some video or are you waiting for me to post what I shot? The video I have isn't very good. I don't even think you can make out your car and that GTO. Let me know if you want me to post it and I'll have it hosted on Streetfire. Oh and for everyone out there, Evan did have better times than a bunch of other people out there. He even posted better times than a new body style TURBOED Mustang GT! At least it sounded turboed with a large sounding BOV.

The videos for the most part suck. You can't make out much of anything. I think this is you against that 04 GTO that you beat, Evan. Can't tell who won either way though...

yeah i think that race was the one where he missed 2nd, the other race was a bit closer when he nailed his gears correctly. cobalt still came out on top though! both were still great races! gotta love out launching RWD...

actually now that i listen to the video, it sounds more like he just hit the rev limiter at the top of 2nd.

You guys really need to make it down to Ennis sometime. 1.8th mile is like jerking off right until your about to nut and then stopping, putting your pants on, and walking your dog...

Yeah let me know my apartment is 10 miles north of the track so if you guys wanna meet up and eat some food then go down there that is cool. I don't mind if Robert comes too, but tell him to stop posting moronic stuff on this site about me, I don't appreciate it. Let me know, every friday is test and tune.
