nott the driver or pass. window or winshield shall be tinted... reflective tint or colored tintsuch as red blue yellow, is not permissable

put it this way...

go as dark as you can as long as you have a sticker in easch window stating a shop did it

I wish I would have known this back when my wife was pulled over for her tint on her Honda Civic. The cop used some device that measured the transmittance of light through the tint, if it was below 70%; he said it had to come off. She scored 34% transmittance, so according to him it had to come off or we would get cited. (Talk about a pain in the a$$ to remove that stuff) Then he gave the argument of Table X which I now know, if I would have known this then, I would have told him to shove the device were the sun can't transmit!! Her car looked nice with the tint too! And don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with cops, my uncle was a cop, but when they waste our time and theirs on pulling someone over because of their tint, that's just ridiculous. Thing was you could still see in her car even at 34%.

Ya i had 15% tint all around on my mr2 and got pulled over for it. Cop said i had to take it off the driver and passanger windows but the rest was fine. He even told me he felt bad for telling me to take it off cause it looked really nice but its a safety thing for them. If someone has it that dark they can't see in and the person could be holding a gun or something like that. Thats what the cop told me. I figured it wasn't worth the trouble of fighting, so i just took it off. On my spec-v that i have i put 35% all around and don't seem to have a problem at all and i drive past cops all the time. In the end i wouldn't go any darker than 35% on the front. thats my 2 cents
