OK, so I took my car in on Monday and dropped it off at 8:00 in the morning because the Sunroof wouldnt close all the way. Like the left side did, but the right side stuck up, like it wasnt running along a track or what ever.

I actually took it in 2 mondays ago, and they had to order a part and told me to bring it in the following monday which is above.

Now I have been without my car since monday, and was just told today it may be for a few more days.... HOW MANY DAYS DOES IT TAKE TO FIX A SUNROOF ISSUE?

He said 1 of the bolts that hold the sunroof in place I guess was stripped from the factory and tehy had to order a new bolt or something. To be honest, I feel more like one of their young techs took my car out for a joy ride, enjoying 18 PSI of boost, and blew my tranny or something.

Anyway, looks like I will be in the LS a bit longer. Its a shame too, cause I got my new brake pads Yesterday, and my new header should be here by the end of the week

 

Well im feeling the same pain. I dropped my SS S/C off on monday at 215pm because in third gear at about a quarter tank my car jerked badly. I've been in a LS since monday afternoon and i keep gettin a message from the dealership saying "we will need it for another day, please be patient" WTF. I WANT MY CAR!!! Im thinking about putting a dual exhaust on both sides as shown in this link..http://www.razzi.com/vehicles/chevro...2dr_1196_2.jpg, do you think its a good idea? do u think this will void the warranty?

 

I think they have to pull your whole headliner down to work on your sunroof. I had a issue with mine and they had to do that.

that picture is not a duel exhaust.. that kit comes with a fake pipe that makes it seem like you have duel.. i dont like 4cyl with duels.. it serves no purpose and if anything it's just a y- pipe.. just get a good flowmaster or borla

wow...damn....thanks for the intel. I was looking for the sound of the infinite G35, quite and firm, i don't really think the loud sound is for the ecotec engine cobalt. Where did you get those projector lights? i wanted to get the xenon for my laser blue SS S/C but not sure where to get it.

 

Well just to update this is week # 2 w/ out my car. Its now been 11 days.... I called and was told they dont even know where to start as far as trying to fix it....

I WANT MY CAR BACK!!! SO MANY RACES MISSED!!! SO MANY KOOL POINTS GONE!!!! IM STARTING TO FORGET HOW TO DRIVE STICK AND ENJOYING HAVING A HAND FREE!!!!!

I also have brand new brake pads and a Header I want to install :'(


DAMN IT!

Anyway, like I want my car back so ah well how can I get them off their lazy ass and fix it other then calling in every day to check that status (which I do....)

 

I know how you feel man...my car has been at the stealership for 23 days now. I went yesterday to get my radar detector so I wont get a ticket in the pimpin beige ls cobalt and it was very sad to see my car sitting there. They have it like completely torn apart...I was looking to see some fat mechanic scratching his head...

 

i have this same problem right now, gotta take it to dealer ASAP, any ideas if i can fix this myself

 

Remember that ur warranty gets extended for the amount of time that it was in the shop for warranty work unless u go over the miles. So if it was in the shop for a month total for warranty work then u get a month added to ur warranty.

Dealer had my car for a week to fix door panel leather and shifter knob

 

Well um. It took me 2 hours to replace my who sunroof track(which i would believe is the problem if one side is broken, the rack it sits on plastic arm broke.) And it took 2 days for the dealer to get the part....

Your dealer sucks.

Rack is broke. $150 part. Best way to tell is to take off the glass. It is held in by 6 screws. You do not need to remove the headliner to take off the sun roof.

 

u broke ur track i did that to on mine but they had the part so i had my car back in 4 hours

 

not going to happen. end of story.

sorry to hear about your car. at least you have a rental though. but still, i was antsy waiting 3 days for my car, i could imagine how you are waiting 11 days.
