Does a Cobalt SS without the Performance package still have a limited slip or a posi? Even if it is a POS. . .

My friend is interested in one and it'll NEVER see any auto-x or drag racing, but at the same time, if he's nailing it from a stop on the street I'd hope that he doesn't spin one wheel for ever.

Those SS's without the quaife, do they spin like mad?

Thanks

Mike

LSD doesnt stop spinning, it' just make 2 wheels spin instead of one, and no they don't spin that bad unless you want it to :)

Right.. no limited slip/posi, no anything, on the non-performance package SS's.

If you nail the throttle, yes it spins bad. But so does the LSD version. I have an LSD equipped SS, and if I punch it hard, I spin both wheels. There's no avoiding that on a FWD car with a good deal of power.

The LSD will prevent the wheel spin at intermediate throttle levels as opposed to the standard SS though. Launch at 3K RPM on the normal SS and you'll spin, launch at 3K on the LSD and you'll chirp a bit and take off.

I don't have the LSD and with a high RPM launch I still lay to nice expensive marks.

Poor Pirelli's....... Poor me after buying more Pirelli's
