Penguins season opener tonight...I'll be there, anybody else going?

They are pretty much sold to that Canadian guy who owns Blackberry also. I really hope they are staying in town, which means we need that arena!

I'm going student rush style...show your student ID at gate 8 an hour before the game and pay 20 bucks for the best seats available...cant beat that.

Lol... good luck with that. I thought they were sold out already. I do hope they stay in town. I've heard conflicting reports on that though.

The company I work for has a corporate suite, and I might be getting a few tickets to that later in the season, but these ones are from the foreman here.

Now I just need to find me a cute female to say "hey... I got tix to the game... wanna go? "

Yeah, I think I'd like nothing more than to drive down for a Steelers game.

yep... the S.O.G. ratio was HUGE between teh two teams.

They have got to learn to cut down on the penalties, though. THat was insane. I think everytime I looked up someone was going in the box.

They didn't look too bad. Maybe I'll have to take a game in this year. That would make 1 game for each Pro sports team in town this year.,

Eh... I don't know. They have Fleury to thank for last night. They need to stiffen up on defense. The PK looked good... quick shifts. They just need to control the puck a little more.

steelers games are definitely worth the trip. that team is awesome. The funny thing is they only won one game this year so far bt the espn analysts still have them as the #3 team because they know when they start to win, no one has a chance

I dont know if this will be the year for the pens or not. Only time will tell. not to mention all the deals on trying to buy them may distract the team

yeah, i was at the game, one of the better games i have been to.

its too early to tell if this is their season, only one game down.

there are alot of distractions for the players too, but the sell is pretty much ready to go, the guy signed the purchase agreement yesterday before the game.

fluery was all over them last night, he is the man...we do need to pick up our defense a bit, but they are making improvements from last season, you could see that yesterday, they are passing, stick handling, moving around...its nice to finally see a group of young kids (im only 22 and i can call them young kids...) finally pulling together in such a promising way.

They did look better. But you can't rely on Fleury to stop that many shots every game.

Did you end up getting the student rush seats? How good were they? I'm gonna have to do taht for some more games this year... I'm not a student anymore, but that's not what my Pitt ID says.

yeah...umm, im not a student either...but my id has no date on it so ill use it as long as i can. i went to about 15 games last season and 1 so far this season. the worst i sat in was c section, that was with a group of 4 of us. with two or three i sit in a or b. i was in b last night, section b1 row g. just show up an hour before the game (usually around 6) and go to gate 8 with 20 bucks.

btw...last season, the earliest i got to any game was a few minutes before faceoff, i have yet to be turned away.

it is one heck of a deal, sitting in 80 dollar seats for 20 bucks!
