? OE Style Wheel Weights ?

I just finished mounting my new Rossos and realized that they are taking alot of weight to balance true.

Does anyone here know where to get the OE style wheel weights? The ones that are segmented in 1.5, 2.25,2.50,etc.... instead of the aftermarket .25 segmented weights.

Thanks
Cody

how much weight? maybe you need to roadforce them and line them up for better balance.

shouldn't really ever be over 3oz... i only use 1/4lz and 1/2oz...works just fine.

yeah make sure your dots are lined up on the valve stems, and weights are weights whether they are from GM contracted company or the local tire shop

Just take them to get balanced its so much easier if you have the computer spinner.

I drove on them for a while and I am using a road force balancer too.

3 of the wheels take a couple weights here and there not over 3oz per wheel but another one is being a pain in the ass and is needing 2.25oz in one spot. Thats just to many 1/4oz segments for me!

The OE weights are just so much cleaner, not to mention I am super picky about every little detail.

Take all of the weight comletely off of the wheel and respin it that should get rid of any really odd weight differences. And If you are still getting a huge ammount in a certain spot you probally have a bend somewhere in the rim and its trying to balance from that point.

The wheels have less than 10 miles on them and are straight as glass.

It's only calling for 2.35oz which isn't a whole lot for a 18 wheel with low profile tires.

Since these wheels have no rim bands a near perfect balance takes time.

dude i think that's alot of weight! try deflating the tires and breaking the beads and spinning them 180 degrees and rebalancing them

Been there done that, just need some info on where to find weights!

Take a peek at the inside of a factory mounted wheel/tire.

dude do they have a Sears auto center where you live? if they do go in and ask them if you can buy a few strips of those weights! i already said they use similar ones. i used to work for them. i know they have them. they work great. the other option would be Pep Boys or Advance

I balanced my G-Force Sports and the most weight they took was 1.00/.50. The best one took .25/.25.
