COBALT Air-to-fuel gauge

whats up all?!

Does anyone have a Cobalt a/f gauge? just ordered mine and im just looking for some feedback on any issues concerning this gauge or the installation.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...336006?ie=UTF8

p.s. Does anyone know where i can find a cheap double gauge mount pillar? Only one i could find was on cobalt-addiction.com which was $60!!

You really want a wide band O2 sensor and gauge. That gauge won't tell you much.

yeah i already ordered a narrow band, i wanted to go with the uego aem wideband but that badboy is close to $280! i know i know, the narrow band wont give me the most accurate readings but as of now my engine is stock and i intend to keep it that way until i hit atleast 4-5k miles, which by that time ill have a stage kit and a wideband upgrade.

narrowband, waste of money? probably....but it'll do for now

well the cobalt one is custom fitted, and they have them so it is the same color as the stock pillar, so for $20, id say its a good deal

Back to the subject, which would be a good wideband sensor to get with my HP Tuners I have on the way. I was looking at the innovative LC-1. How does it hook up, to a gauge or is a gauge not needed? Also, will it fit in the stock bung or will I need one welded in?

IM RICH B*TCH! jk

the reason i went for a narrow band is because 1: im planning on getting a CAI and i wanted to get a understanding where i stand b4 and after it; i heard about lean conditions on cai's and 2: I dont have $280 dollars to spend yet SO $60 dollars opposed to $280 on something i dont need just YET is a little reasonable to me, but thats just me

man let him go it's his car!! if he wants a light show let him have it. atleast he's not making intakes out of dryer vent tubing and duct tape like others on this site. that said i would definately go with the cobalt-additcion pillar. i have one and it's almost a perfect match. look in my photo album i have a few pics of it there. when you are installing the guage make sure you install it on the front O2 sensor and the signal wire is the purple one. it's a bitch to get to just FYI. any other questions just PM me.

At almost $63 bucks, plus a $60 pod, you were over half way to real wideband you could have hidden in the trunk button compartment for just the price of the gauge! You can get an AEM Uego for $250 or so if you shop around.

Here's the deal:

If you want to read your a/f ratios before and after an intake or any mod
BUY A WIDEBAND. SAVE UP!

If you just want a gauge just to look cool
buy your narrowband

No offence, but the narrowband will be way off. Trust me on this. If you do purchase a narrowband, don't expect it to give you accurate readings because it won't. Please save your money and buy a wideband.

I LIKE THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you are just like i used to be!!!...finaly somebody who wants **** NOW...so a cheep something now to feed the hunger just untill you have enough for the high end ****!

bout time somebody else is just as crazy as me!!!!!

the narrow band will flash like a gay rave but it'll scare off normal idiot ricers and such...they dont like gauges if there not auto lite!!!!

in all real-ness tho if its not going to be much longer untill you have the cash for a wideband then try like hell to waite becasue i love my AEM UEGO...its a great tuneing tool!...there worth the $250-$300 price they command.

and yes the cobalt addiction pods are not only the best looking but the best price!...i went the custom route and made one but i did that long before the current pods were avalibile...

LMFAO "flash like a gay rave"??? ROFL that's some funny **** man!!! i've never heard that before but i'm gonna have to use it.

i bought my narrow band because i wanted the triple guage pod and i didn't have any other guage that i really liked at this point and time. i didn't want to just get the dual guage pod cause if i ever found another guage i wanted i would have to buy a whole new pod. so basically i got it for a light show so that i would have the ability to upgrade later if i found somethign i liked more. i got the guage with a needle cause i didn't like the LED's i think the needle looks les "ricey" for lack of a better word. and yes i know there are tons of people on here that are going to say a narrow band is rice but who cares i just got it to fill the extra hole in the pod for the time being until i find a differant guage i like better.

I am not here to try and pick on anybody, and I apologize if I came off that way. I have been there myself, wanting stuff like yesterday. I have also found that if you wait and save, and you finally get what you really want or need it feels a lot better and is worth the wait. Just some friendly advice from someone that has wasted his money on a few items when I did my last car up.

On a side note, let me know where the rave lightshow is and I'll be sure to attend in my rainsuit with reflectors! Just kidding!
