View Full Version : Cleaning THe engine Bay with SImple Green?

I just found a new bottle of this stuff and was wondering if its safe to use on the top of the engine and the bay. i assume it is since its all purpose. just checking :D thanks guys :cssNET:

Ive allways made my own receipe of blue shine, you can pretty much use anything i guess as long as you rinse quickly.

Yeah simple green will be just fine, it smells a lot but that's it. Just rinse completely. :twothumbs

its a spray bottle. can i jsut wipoe it clean. i live in an apartment so no hose haha damn school.

dude you can use pretty much anyting you want in the engine bay, but acidic products!

check out my engine bay ;) i just use water let it dry then spray interior shine all over and wipe it off w/ a micro fiber towel :twothumbs

I usually use Simple Green for the engine bay and wheel wells and the underbody( when I go that far) , the stuff is pretty damn good at getting about anything off .

....to bad it smells like a old ladies perfume :barf:

wow ive never even cleaned my engine bay once , i think cleaning the engine bay is like combing your hair before a basketball game or a football game haha ALL SHOW

Well you want to clean it somewhat man. Otherwise you get buildup in there which can eventually lead to problems/loss of performance. Not saying you need to detail it, but at least spray it down with a hose good when you clean your car.
