My fiance and I took the weekend off and took a trip to NJ, Mt Laurel area. We usually take my car (pic below), but this time we took hers (04 Civic LX). Now whenever we go somewhere I never see any Cobalt SS S/C on the road. Mind you we usually take my car. Now that we took her car lets see we saw a Black SS S/C on the NJTP south near exit 8a (i think), and it was a chick. That was cool. I was like oh finally another cobalt on the Highway other than mine. Then while on RT-73 south we saw a dude in a blue SS S/C. It doesn't stop there. We wanted Ice Cream so we went to the Stop and Shop on the corner of 73 and 70 and in that parking lot we saw a Red SS S/C with painted calipers, and the RK Sport FG hood (awesome looking). Then to top it off on the way home we stopped at a gas station and then passed a Car wash on 73 south and saw a sunburst orange parked along with a yellow s2000 with a carbon fiber hood. Now is it just me or do you not see other cobalts (that much) when driving your own car? or are there just more Cobalt SS S/C in NJ? Either way if you guys and girl or on the site your cars look good and I'm happy to start seeing more of us out there.

 

I see mostly base model cobalts in my area. There is a chick that drives the same exact model,and color, as mine and 1 ss/sc that I see on ocasion. But mostly all base,ls,lt..

 

so maybe I'm not that crzy then.

 

Thats exactly how it is for me. i see nothing when driving my car... maybe a base here and there but usually nothing. When we drive her cavy we usually see 1-2 ss/sc's 2.4's lol why is that.

 

that red ss you saw lives in cherry hill (part of the site) and the orange one i see all the time there at the car wash...

 

I have only seen 3 other SS/SC's in CT and maybe 2 2.4l SS's. I see 2.2's all the time.

 

Theres a few in my town allways driving around. Mine is still faster so it dosent bother me

 

No SS/SC's in my area, all 4dr, base, LTs, about 2 2.4 SS's, but 45 minute away, 3 black SS/SC come to mind.

 

The other thing I hate when we take her car out, besides its slow as hell, is when other modified cars come up next to you at a light or something and just look over and smile. Man if only they knew what was sitting at home is all I think of. It would wipe that import smile right off your face and cover you with dust. Sorry just had to vent that point.

 

There is one Red SS/SC that I see around here. That's it just the one.

 

Around my house there is about 10 base Cobalts. Down in Glen Burnie there is a red and black 2 tone SS/SC car a red SS/SC car a yellow one an orange one and a black one. A couple blocks from me there is a 2.4 SS 2 door.

But so far mine is the only 4 door SS around! Sure tons of regular sedans but I'm the lone SS sedan in MD it seems.

Oh and this weekend at the meet I saw about 30! LOL! 25 were the SC cars 4 base Balts and my lone SS sedan....again! Like I said i think I'm the only one in MD!

 

I never see any other SS/SCs around here. I do see a couple bases though.

 

Same here.. I see a lot of base models... I see a few 2.4SS's, but as far as SS/SC's I see very few of them!

 

see what I mean. All base models and very few SS or SS S/C. We need a bigger showing on the streets. We also need a bigger showing at the tracks. Englishtown November 12th (Sunday) the final Streetwars of the year. So far I have been the only SS S/C to show up to run. First time there I had no traction. Second time Rained out Third time I have no Idea. Anyone dare to take a guess what I should run according to my mods. Keep in mind I hope to get the 60lb injectors prior to going.

 

Ok how about the SS sedans, how many of them do you guys see around you?

 

I've seen one...... on the lot at the dealer. Black.

it makes me mad, i have NEVER seen a red ss/sc in person. not at any of the dealerships i've been to, not on the road.

 

Yeah same here. I see a lot of base models and theres a couple with the SS/SC body kit and wing but there not Supercharged. But there are 2 or 3 here in Wisconsin that are SS/SC

 

2.2's r takin over where i live theres like 50 of em like everywhre but theres a hot chick that drives a black 2.2 shes nice we always wave to each other but besides that i have the same thing i usually c a black and orange balt in the town near mine always when im drivin wit my friend but not in my balt

 

Thats how it is in my area too, there's ALOT of base models, like mine, and a few LT's. I only see a few SS's around, but its like a treat when you see them. I wish I couldve afforded to get the SS!

 

See it makes you wonder where they all are. They are so much fun to drive and rewarding to see others out there when you do see them. I hope to see more of them.
