Frank Miller's 300
Going to be one kick ass flick. For anyone that knows of the Battle of Thermopylae, you'll love this.

Frank Miller, when he's left to do his own thing without too much censorship is the s**t! Sin City, his work with Batman, everything. Robocop II was a joke, but why? Because someone else f'ed with Frank's ideas, but his original screenplay that he turned into a comic was awesome.

I love the Battle of Thermopylae one of my most favorite quotes is actually from it:
Their arrows will block out the sun. (something like that)
"Good, then we will fight in the shade."
Just can't wait to see this movie.

Yeah, its my new favorite action film now too.
Did anyone count the decapitations, I think it almost got into double digits. I almost didn't like the ending, kinda wanted to see a little more.
Looks like I brought more soldiers than you.

o im sure there was well over double digit decapitations! and countless body parts flaling all over!
i sure as hell wouldnt wanna mess with the spartans! there all tanks!
if 300 did that much damage imagine what the 10000 would have done!
300 best movie i've seen in a while, can't wait till it comes out on bluray.. fighting sequences were awesome, the way they all protected each other with their shields just awesome.... best yet it's an actual true story, tweaked a bit by hollywood of course.
even if hollywood never tweaked a thing....
linking any battles from that era to the words "true story" is a little flimsy
Greek and Roman History is GREAT to learn. but just remember, they loved to stretch the truth. and everything is sprinkled with myth/legend and all around great storytelling.
lots of really interesting stuff in there. but you have to realise your not reading accurate modern history here
Remember, these are the same stories that involved Cyclopses....beautiful sirens....Medussa.....etc etc
Odysseus and Troy are 2 of my favorite movies.
Im pretty sure this will soon join the list.
